Just a warning.
Dont have to high expectesions about GT4.
Like this.....

On the way to the store to buy GT4: (when that day ever comes sigh:rolleyes: )

You: OHH man I´m gonna buy GT4 today!!!
It will be so cool,my best game ever!!!

In the store picking up GT4:

You: OHH man I cant blive it I´m acctually holding a GT4 box!!!
And I´m sue it will contain My favourite car:Midget!!!
This is the best day of my life!!!

In front of your TV waiting for GT4 to load:

You: OHH MY GOD!!!! I´m acctually waiting for GT4 to load!!!
How stunned I´m gonna be when I can drive my midget in GT4!!!!

But then loading screen says:

If you where expecting the Daihatsu Midget to be in the game we are sorry but it dont!

BTW check out my avatar isn´t flashy!!
 
If you're buying the game just for the Daihatsu Midget you got problems.
 
I don't think it will be possible for GT4 to disappoint. i mean, the only reason I come here is because I LOVE Gran Turismo. The game would have to be all sorts of bad for me to be disappointed.

I think this thread has a point after all, we're all hyping GT4 to the skies.

This transfered to any other excpectation vs. result is imo is that GT4 will probably as GT3 get complains.

Excpect nothing and be positively surprised. Excpect the best and be negatively surprised.

True good points, but tell me, what game have you ever played that has been 100% Perfect... of course this game will have its draw backs and I know alot of people will complain about stupid things too like the skys too bright or the cars are too shiny or the grass isnt just right or whatever. Everyone has there own opinions on whats perfect and developers are not gonna make a game just for one person... is this thread worthless id have to say yes why cuz theres really no point to it, we all know it wont be perfect but why look at the negative side of things, lets look at the updates, online, graphics, AI, game play and all the other improvements that went into the game. This isnt a game that comes out every year, its a game that has been in developement since when, since gt3 came out thats a pretty damn long time so you know they have to be doing more than just graphics upgrades and adding more cars. just enjoy all the good stuff thats being given to us and just wait for the game and be prepared to be amazed..
 
Rport, you are right that GT4 will probably be a huge improvement of GT3. Anyway I think it's in it it's place to discuss this. It's not about getting negative, the hype just needs some balancing.
 
GT4 will be incredible, but alot of ppl are totally kissing gt ass! The are riding the hype like big hype riding whores :). They get so dragged with the hype that they can't bear a single negative thing to be said against gt, and take it to the point where they lie and make stuff up coz they feel the need to defend it.

Still I can understand why, gt3 was abit of a let down, and gt4 promises sooooooo much! I for one think its gonna rock, but tbh I don't expect it to be MASSIVLY different. I think it will be gt3 + abit better graphics (more detail etc)+ MASSES of cars+some decent tracks (not as wide as in gt3 i hope)+a decent rally mode(it sucked last time)+more refined handling and the generally stuff :) hmmm actually it does sound abit good :D

I cant wait to get my hands on a group B lancia delta BWA AHHAHAHA! :D
 
to be honest. Polyphony could just take gt3, slap a gt4 sticker on it, repackage it, and it'd still buy and be in awe of it. Gt3 is pretty much the ONLY game i play on my ps2, and i still get amazed by it every time i play it. i dont think theres any way im gonna be disappointed w/ gt4

Half-Life for PC. Need I say more? Hopefully Half-Life 2 will be just as incredible.

In all reality though, you are very right about no game ever being perfect.

I am exactly the same mate. I still can't believe how realistic some of my replays look. :)

Same here. That is why I don't mind knowing what GT4 is going to feature ahead of time. I wont be displeased with it once it arrives, and I will be surprised no matter what.
