...and you maybe didn't notice the little lock next to the link before you clicked on it, and after reading through it you have a great comment to throw on the heap but then you see neon duke's, Pako's, GIles', or sn00pie's final word, and a big "thread closed" on the reply button?

I hate that. I wish i was a mod just so I could always have the last word. It's not fair, right Der Alta?

Oh. I see now. I don't really care who has the last word in most things. As long as it makes sense or something. I'm obviously not.

You can always continue the discussion in the Test Forum.

Boy...I'm a bright one tonight...Took me a full 56 minutes to figure out what was going on.

The bright light finally lit up, when I figured what your reference to my thread really meant.

*Slaps forehead and utters "D'oh!"*

Its ok unless Josh comes here and sees it. He has the evil finger (God only knows what he has been doing with that finger) and makes the click of the damned.

Well why don't you just be more careful from now on and make sure to check if there's a little locked letteer next to the icon?

However, i can't say your situation has never happened to me. I do feel your pain.

My devilish mood is telling me to click, and let me say how hard it is to not click it closed, but I have to say that it irritates me as well when another Moderator closes it before I do, like you, I also like to give the last word. :)

So tell ya what, if it's your thread, you just post the last word and ask me to close it and I will. :)

Because sometimes they think there might still be worthy content in the thread for readers.

If a thread deteriorates into a mindless flamewar, no. But if a thread is locked that is interesting then yes, it does bother me. What happens if a thread does become a "mindless flamewar"? I know it'll be locked, but will it be deleted also?

It totally depends on the content of the thread. Normally just the offensive threads get removed, the rest just slowly sink to the bottom of the proverbial bit bucket.

You must be mistaking me with sn00pie, or Sage. I hardly ever close threads.

I only delete offensive or duplicated threads. The rest remain in situ, but locked. That way other members can see any content that had value before the thread was locked, and can also try to work out what it was about the thread that made the moderator concerned feel that locking was appropriate.

It's the Moderator's whim that closes a thread, we all know that - they have the power, so they use it.

Moderators that abuse their privileges should be shot. :p

I hate it when I log on here to find a thread is locked, so I read through it and find a post or someone in that thread that I could've laughed at or insulted.

Bugger.

Don't you steal "bugger" from Australia, boy.

I'll laugh at you, stupid head.

Meh, I would respond, but then this thread would get closed by one of the evil ones. :nervous:

It's alright, sweetie. Don't feel to bad because you can't think of an insult.

And here I am responding and doing the exact same thing that I said I wouldn't.

Colour Blue fool.

I'm only posting there because you're posting there. :p

So why is it that as soon as Cobraboy joined the thread it deteriorated into a useless post whoring run?

WHOA, Der Alta just posted, it's gotta be bed time for me.

Alex, I'd be more than happy to clean up the last little bit of clutter for you?

No prizes for me when I say you don't like me, but whatever, SandStorm is the one who carries things on, but if you want to lay the blame on me then fine, go ahead, like I give a ****.

This has to be the first GTP thread moved from the Test Forum to The Rumble Strip.
