I'd rather physically own the game than just have an electronic copy of it but I was just wondering how other people find UMDs.

Is the loading in GTPSP particularly intrusive or not? If it's going to be a real pain then i'll just download the game instead.

You can install the whole game on memory stick with the UMD version. :)

That is just what I wanted to hear...Thank you 👍.

If only more PSP games were like this ay? I don't mind that the disc needs to stay in there to start it, so long as I don't have to constantly wait for it to whirr away accessing during use.

Ta muchly :)

why thank you kind sir. do you get any benefits from doing this?

Other then slightly faster loading times then when using the disk, no. It also takes a gig of space on your MC.

If your running a ISO it doesn't do anything at all, but take up a gig of space..

How about piracy ? Nothing would prevent you from installing, then giving the disc to a friend, or selling it again.

The disc need to be in the PSP for the game to run, it just checks that the disc is there and runs (faster) off the stick.

Even if you download it from PSN it gives you the option to install - is that worthwhile or what?

-> UMD all the way in my book. I save my MemStick on other more important things... :sly:

i thought the UMD would nbe a better idea also so i bought it for myself like a week before christmas. then i got a PSP go for christmas... now i have to buy it online too because theres no way to tell them u already bought the UMD version. Sony better fix this soon because i have around 20 UMD's with no use now..

^ (OT) What games do you have? I might buy it from you. PM me! j/k ;)

BT-> I'm glad that I currently own a PSP3000. Now my friend who currently owns a PSPGo (but used to play with PSP1000/2000/3000, but still owns them! Rich gamer b****** :P), he lent me a lot of UMD games for me to enjoy my PSP.
