Downshift issues with DFGT Wheel

This has been a known issue with the DFGT if you were unlucky to get this it's not your fault by all means, Logitech know about this problem and they will Replace your one if the problem keeps happening

Also yeah i got the problem too when downshifting in it but i never use the F1 with the wheel it's crazy! lol

Why in the world would you drive the F2007 IN MT at Suzuki,are'nt u busy nuff trying to keep that beast on the track I am Oh it must be the Redbull,here it gives you wings.

If you are used to it then you dodn't even think of it... at all. Unless something is not right like the wheel wont shift down fast enough.

All i can say is get a G25
it is soo much better than DFP
G25 spins faster and easier.
The new paddle shifters work great for the F1 thats how i drive it.
Im not sure if it is actually faster but just the feel of the whole thing is alot better than DFP it felt like a toy.

Does the DFGT feel the same as DFP? anyone know?
I didnt bother getting it because it seemed exactly the same as a DFP but with the dials for in race tunning and i had that on my DFP anyways.

I haven't used a DFGT yet but I know that the wheel is improved over the DFP (which I used to use), DFGT is larger diametre (11 inch same as G25) and spins faster and more freely than the DFP (though not as good as G25 so I have heard) while still providing good FF. I would like to try one just to compare it to my G25.

thats good to hear at least they did improve the wheel ,i had to wrestle with my DFP to drift properly ,but the G25 handles like a real cars wheel how it recentres itself almost perfectly and fast enough to keep up.

i have the drivinf force pro and i love it but like someone said above it's way to heavy to drift with the resistance is really tough also the downshifting with the f1 car needs a ittle tweaking

payed friggin 120 euro's for this steering wheel!

The DFP is still a great wheel, did almost 4 years of service for me (cost me $300AUD).

A friend has the G25, the wheel feels mostly the same with larger shift paddles on the G25
The pedals are different, the brake on the G25 requires more effort, I actually prefer the DFGT pedals, even though they are not as life like.
Racing with Auto-Shift is a fish out of water feeling for me.

I have been racing pc sim games with wheels for years, never had such an issue with slow shifting, takes some adjustment, but it's nothing too fret over.

I find the slow downshifting to be a big problem in the F1. You should be able to downshift as fast as the car can brake but you can't. Not only can you not slow fast enough due the lack of controlled engine braking, but also it is hard to get to that right gear for the corner. When racing against fast opponents you don't have time for these nuances.

Yes indeed.

Here's the bullet points:

1. The wheel size has been increased to that of the same as the Logitech G25.
2. The FFB motors have been redesigned, as has the center spring mechanism, giving the wheel a very similar feel to the G25 (although, not returning to center quite as fast as a G25 (only flaw with the wheel itself, in my opinion.))
3. The pedal resistance has been changed, so there is a different resistance to the gas and brake pedals (although, not nearly enough).

Flaws:

1. Paddle shifters are buttons on the back of the wheel, instead of "paddles" like on G25. With PC games, sometimes they don't change gears properly.
2. Center Spring isn't as strong as G25.
3. The Pedals. G25 has the DFGT beat hands down when it comes to the pedals. Having completely different types of resistance for each pedal, a clutch, and actually being made out of *gasp* metal.
4. Only a sequential shifter mounted to the wheel itself. No separate H-gated shifter like you get with the G25 or Fanatec 911 wheel.
