It gets measured in game with the citroen wrc rally car it has a trip meter in it

Just a thought, it might be another option. Using Google Earth's ruler, at Indy speedway, the distance from the white line at the brick starting line to the end of the pit wall heading in the reverse direction is 1322ft. I'm not sure how accurate it is though. :/
