So. We know who is who. We know a lot about each other. Yet we don't know much about how we came about. So, here is your chance to post your story and how you managed to get where you are today. Here's mine.

I started out about a month after launch, Christmas day 2010 and GT5 was bundled with some movies and my PS3/DS3. I was getting GT5 anyways (after having GT4) but I was happy I got it with the system, in fact I jumped out of my couch. I got very excited.

From there I started leveling up and doing races to earn some cash. Went online once with my brand new Challenger, fully upgraded and at Daytona and though I was the **** because I was doing 208mph. I'll never forget this. Out of nowhere someone FLEW past me and I was like holy **** what the **** was that. I later found out it was an X1.

From there I started doing free runs at La Sarthe. By then I had my Veyron (OMG SLASH TUNED A 4WD CAR) and it was fully upgraded, so so to my knowledge it was. I ended up being able to get it to defeat nearly every Veyron I had come in contact with and was able to get it up to about 285/6 ish on the straight, on sports softs. I still have no idea what it does with racing softs. I know most people had a hard time getting it past 273. During this time drag racing was in it's infancy, this had to be at least a year or more ago.

From there I migrated over to the Top Gear Test Track because apparently everyone was moving there, for free runs and drag racing. I went on to tune a Ford GT (premium, no one knew about the No Stripe glitch) and to this day stands undefeated. Here I met a guy named Stubz420 and convinced him I was the king of drag racing because of my few undefeated cars. Got him up to speed, and then migrated over to Indy, where I still am at today, tuning a lot.

After moving to Indy I started meeting a lot of you guys, and in my early days at Indy I met Kenny. We became good friends and tuned a lot together, still not really knowing what we were doing. We eventually began figuring a lot of the stuff out that is is the guides you see here today and that is what got me to where I am now. I hope I'm around for a long time to come.

Well, I had only owned GT3 before this. So instinctively when I bought GT5 for my 18th.. Feb last year, I started with the premo civic.. Struggled until I got massively over powered cars.. The 2J was my savior haha.. A random Lv 23 ticket that I can't remember how I got brought this magnificent car :) then, around September October time last year, I was struggling with the B Spec NASCAR series.. Go I did what any noob would do.. Google for the best set up haha.. This lead me to GTP.. After I dominated the NASCAR championship, I wondered what else GTP could offer me.. So after a bit of browsing.. I found the Drag section.. So purely out of curiosity I checked it out.. Seen all the big guys like mafia, Slump, Slashfan, PTK, Kenny, fest0r and DLR made me want to start.. So I used Slash's and DLR's bare tunes on my unbroken cars.. And initially, my RS6 was the fastest I had.. Even beating my LMQ and R33 hahaha.. Then I went online for the first time, meeting Santa_goes_moo and he blitzed me hahah.. So I followed him for a bit.. Meeting people like NMA, Aus MMA, Type R V tech, ultimatewater, WOLVERINE and turboturk.. These guys pushed me to get faster.. Then once I figured out what I was doing.. I very quickly rose to the top.. On my way I met Viperbeatsvette.. He was a different noob.. He wanted to learn himself with my help :) so I took him under my wing and taught him practically everything I knew.. And then I made friends with my right hand troll, PTK :) for an Aussie to make mates with the fastest 4WD tuner who hates the GTR.. Ahahahah and now I see no interest on dragging anymore.. It's unfortunate, but until PD work their 🤬 out, I won't be back to serious anytime soon..

Well i started in GT1 as noob and kept on being a noob to the start of gt5 i was in a room, the track was SSR7 and i was in a gtr specv and mafia saw some potential in me so he tuned my gtr then i made it faster and he was amazed. So we tuned veyrons and he gave me a tune for that to and i smashed him by 10 cars so he asked me to join GME so i did and i left early this year to start my own team

I actually taught nma, and taught typeR a few basics but he picked up really fast. Now nma beats me and typeR beats me off tree :( haha oh well.

My story starts similarly to slash. Xmas 2010 I got the game and first thing I did with my super standard mx5 miata was go to TopGear online. After playing gt4 and always doing Las Vegas drag strip it was natural I drag raced. I didn't know much but I knew which ride height would work and I knew how to use the top speed slider. I was quite good at TopGear but there was no order. So one day I felt like racing tracks and I remembered enjoying racing road course Indy in my x1 (haha yes I was a noob and yes I earnt it myself) so I joined a room. No one was doing laps but instead al racing up and down a strip. At that place I met HKS-Team-N1 and dylanR35. I was running my skyline r34 and was doing okay but these 2 kept smashing me so I worked transmission a bit played with some gears and I got within a car of them. They logged out and I kept fine tuning. The next day I met santa_go_moo and aus mma and Santa taught me stuff like second gear launch in vipers etc nothing much else. Weeks later after I was at base tune level I met Matt, he at the time was a little faster but he kept getting faster. I wanted help and he was kind enough to help :P.

Matt and I then ran into kruizz and he swamped us in the r34.. Haha so we got a few tips and we kept working on things. I'd get to matts level and he'd get faster again, then I'd reach his level and he'd get me again.

Then I started to use gtp and was accepted into eclipse. But due to time difficulties it didn't last. And then I was in rapid with cool dude and then Matt and I made cacrats, I quit and now I'm tuning 3k

Cool story bro 👍

Ah the Eclipse days.

I'm using my iPhone and my thumbs got sore. I could describe every moment Matt and I joined eclipse when racing yourself and kenny in gt no stripes :P

Ah... What to say about me?

I started last year. I had Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and I LOVED it. Played it a lot for quite a while. Then when Gran Turismo 5 came out, I was even more excited!! You could flash your high beam lights, and you can honk at people! I purchased the standard Eunos Roadster and installed an ECU and a sports exhaust on it. I did some A spec races and got the hang of the game. Then, my dad got me an online PSN account. I started going in some online rooms, then I saw a "1/4 drag or kick" room. With my now fully modded Eunos, I went into the room. I raced some of the people there and lost lol. Never won a single race in that room. I was sort of sad, so I thought, maybe I can win some more A-spec races so I can get some more cars. I did just that, and I got enough money to purchase my first long term use car, a Nissan GTR '07. Over the months, I slowly added modifications to it and raced it in the majority of my A-spec career, and later it became fully modded, having 856 HP with 418 miles lol. I thought I was now invincible. So I joined a drag room, and dragged in it with the stock transmission, which is still pretty fast. I had an even ratio of winning to losing, but I still wasn't content. That's when a guy named chris12008 saw me in the room and helped me. He gave me tips on tuning a car for drag. He also told me the legend of the Viper ACR on the Indy drag strip, and I was amused. I then saved up more money and purchased a Viper ACR and fully modified it. Then, remembering Chris's tips, I tuned the car for 1/4 drag. Ready, I joined another 1/4 room and brought out my ACR. I was pretty surprised with the car's performance. I then tuned and tuned that car until I thought it was to perfection. Then, I also tried out tunnel drags, and I loved that too! In that, I used the Nissan GTR with a base GME tune on it, and it ran well. However, I showed more interest in 1/4. So I kept on tuning and dragging until I got invited to be in a drag team called Team Redliners. I loved it, it was very fun to be there. Then, sadly, Team Redliners dispersed, and I was solo again. I just kept on sending queries to every drag team out there to let me tryout, but the only person who responded was Slashfan of Team Eclipse. I knew who Slashfan was, and I was very much honored to drag in his presence. I dragged Slash in No Stripes, and beat him by a car. I also dragged Matt and Viperbeatsvette in the 4WD segment, and we always tied :). After a couple of cars, Slash then told me that I was recruited into Team Eclipse. I couldn't believe it, I was recruited in one of the fastest 1/4 drag teams!! I was so happy. Then, everyone lived happily ever after. The End

This is an edited version of my drag story, a lot more happened in between, but I left that all out. Lol I wrote all this on my Samsung Galaxy S2 and my thumbs are also sore Viper so you're not alone haha

At the time I wasn't as fast as I am now though. Add in the rest later, I wanna read it lol

My story is just too long, one day I'll write it here, hopefully soon, let's just say that my very first video game was GT1 and so on... I'll finish it soon..

haha if i wanted to go THAT far back id start by saying
started with mario kart when i was like 4: then got a classic xbox and played midtown madness then need for speed series from underground all the way to shift without missing a single game. (most wanted was by far the best) and gt4 on the way on the ps2.

I had all the GT series through out, that when GT5 came out I wnet and bought the PS3 and the game on that black friday, cause I had to have it.

I started joining a few drag rooms online with my EK thinking it was the **** until this kid hand it to me but then he gave some tips on tuning and even tuned my Ek and then I got really hooked, I learned to tune FF using the tune on the Ek as a base and after joining this forum and reading on slumps guide and others I slowly got better and I'm still improving thanks to kleo, master, karo and everone in here that have gave me a tip or two. Thanks to everyone that I have come across, you guys rock. 👍

Wow same here, I bought my first FF, an EK, and tried to tune that. It didn't work. Then I got a lot of tips from other people who I encounter in rooms, and that's how I got up to the level where I am right now :)

Were to begin, were to begin. Lets see ummmm, ive always had a passion for cars. Had all the Gran Turismo games and played it none stop till my eyes get blood shot. Ive always loved to drag my cars and dump it as low as i can. When i got GT5 i bought as much cars as i could of and fully tuned it. Not tuned for the 1/4 mile just maxed the HP. And me and my friends usually gathered up at my house and draged at the Nurburgring straight long road. Never crossed my mind to play my cars online till i was getting bored of the game so i decided to give it a shot and see what really happens. I found indy... And noticed cars at one spot draging so i jumped all over it and started draging myself and was getting my a$$ handed to me left and right. I was speechless cuz i really didnt know how the same car that i have kept wining me. Till i herd his gear changes were much shorter then mine. So i gave it a shot but still not as effective as i assumed. Till one day my friend aka Scarface818 told me he has a tune for the ACR and the Spec V 09. He told me how to do it step by step and when i saw the results i was mind blowned. So i asked him how he came up with it he said he got ir from here thats when i made the account and was getting bagged on from all of you cuz i was a noob but i never asked for a tune just looked around and was curious on what times people were getting. Slowly over time i learned and learned and learned. Met Kenny ( one of the best guys ive met thus far on this website) and had a few laughs and races together. Then one day slash asks me if i wanna be in hydro and i was soo excited that theres actually teams and events going on and till this day on ive bin addicted to the game and this website lol. Ive met really koo guys here and made good bonds with the people i race with. Sure theres bin drama between teams and all but as mature fellas we are we get past it cuz we eventually are a community. But one guy who kept mind blowing with his times are JR. Iv got mad respect for him! Thanks to him, Kenny, Slash, & Master_Shake i wouldn't be as fast as i am today. Thanks to Fest0r Matt and Viper this website wouldnt be as amusing as it is today. You all are very good people and hope you stay like this forever. Thank you all :)

Yup I had no clue on drag tuning til then, no at least I can defend myself, I notice most of my tunes always come short from the pros by .150 or .250 deppends on the car usually less if it's an FF. but RWd let's not even mention it.

Nice new pic bro 👍 I should follow suit :P

I bought my Ps3 in march of 2011 and got gt5 at the same time, always a fan of the series going back to gt1.When i first started playing i just stuck with a-spec and b-spec,earning credits and buying cars.Tuning was the last thing on my agenda til i finally went online last Sept. Of course i was getting dusted regularly til i came across gtp and found some tunes that Dlr and slash posted.those helped me get an idea what to do.I ran into some guys from STAY TUNED (vqpro, nutz -34,stacks63)and they gave me more tips.I've gotten better but still not where i want to be.Now i'm a member of STAY TUNED and thankful for the chance to be part of a team. There's some great guys out there who have my utmost respect(slash, dlr, kenny, master, aka),hope to be around for a long time.

Haha yeah I remember racing you the one time when I first met you. You were like holy **** how the hell is that car so fast. Now you beat some of the big boys.

Same with you Dave. You've gotten to the point like the rest of us. Fast as hell.

My story, well its not the most impressive but ill shoot.

I had wanted gran turismo 5 for god knows how long after watching countless youtube drag races, so my mind was set on it. When i got the game, i built up and got myself my beloved mustang mach 1. I started dragging at la sarthe because i was amazed with the speed. I tuned my mach 1 the only way i knew how, STEP GEARS, yes i would set the next gears bar just a little shorter than the previous. My mach 1 was only beaten by one type o muscle car, the trans cammer, but other than that my 215 mph reaching demon killed muscle. Then, i saw the acr, but i dident know where to get it, so after searching the ucd i found my self the 03 srt 10. Yes i did very well, but i got curious about quarter mile. I created some fair tunes that beat noobs, but one day i came across a man named m5bimmer, and he had a drag team called ShiftPointRacing. Of course i joined and learned, they gave me tunes that i disected for many cars. The team ended breaking up, then i came across sick wiid it, who took me in and really taught me how to tune, and why this gear is this ect. With this knowladge i worked and worked to get here.

I remember ShiftPointRacing. They were never very quick but they knew what they were doing. For me I always had a firm belief that a drag race should be held over a 1/4 mile strip however I didn't know where one was because I was pissed that the speed test mode wasn't originally included in the game.

I thought shiftpoint and mgc where gods back then, now i beat all the guys who still play

Well, I started drag racing about 3 or 4 months ago. I had no idea had to tune. My first tune ever was on my GTS. I thought my GTS would be uber fast. I put the front all the way up and rear all the way down because I thought the air would push up on my car and my car would be lighter. I had no idea what I was doing and still don't really. After school I would play for hours trying to get faster. I started buying and trading for the cars other people had in the lobby. By this time I could beat about 1/8th of the people I raced. Then I met Bryce3stars who is a good tuner. My pride and joy the ACR was only about a bumper slower than his. I stalked him for a few weeks and just listened to any tips he gave out. I have slowly made progress and wound up where I am now. I participated in the TTS competition and got 10/13 place. I don't really know any of the top drag racers but I am hoping to start getting to know you guys. I'm not all that smart, I pinks race when I'm assured a loss and trade without any forethought. But I'm making progress. :)

My long story were to begin. Ive had all GT series and I couldnt wait for 5 to come out. I got the game the first day it came out went home and poped it in my ps3. Built up my b-spec to lvl 40 in 13 days which included 11 24 hours races. Bought all the alot of x1s and I got online where I ended up racing hondas on ssr7 and I also got into racing the whole tunnel. We use to race the 1/4 also there from the begining to the first set of green lights on the wall. I got fast quick. At the same time I met some kool guys that use to run f1s. Stoped draging full time for a couple of weeks and got involved in a ferrari f1 league. When the league was over I started draging full time again. I use to race on top gear, monza, fuji, ssr7, highspeed ring and then got Involved in indy. Stoped everything else and focused only on indy. There I joined GT5's first drag team TTK with alot of fast ppl. Became co-leader. A couple of the ppl I use to play with left the team I did too. Around the same time Team Solo was formed and when they found out I was a free agent they brought me onboard and ive been there ever since.

My dragging started at Le Sarthe and tgtt. I eventually discovered Indy. The 1st time I went to Indy I got kicked cuz I had no idea what was going on. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why the guy was parked in front of us and that we were spose to go when he went ghost. It took a couple rooms for me to find someone to explain it to me. I got my svt cobra pretty decent in practice mode(or so I thought, I was trapping 140.) I figured out real fast I wasn't anywhere near fast. I knew about gtp since gt4. So I came here trying to find tips for dragging. There weren't many at the time. Eventually I met dlr and slash and learned a lot from their base tunes, got to the point that my tunes were better than the base tunes and just kept tuning til I'm where I am now. Still not fast by far but decent enough. I've met a lot of cool people since then (you all know who you are) and you guys are the reason I still hang out in the armpit of this site.👍
