Drag tuning basics

I'm wondering now, since camber cause wheelspin, I'm debating whether or not I should add a bit for 1/4 drags. I need grip on all 4s but more in the rear. Since this causes a loss of tractoion in the front I really don't know if it will slow me down or not. TEST TIME.

It seems using camber on the front wheels of a rwd car would be beneficial as it would create less friction and give greater ease for acceleration. The front wheels are essentially only used to keep the car going straight, therefore you only need minimal traction. I have comfort hard tires on some of my fr cars. Might not actually be helping at all in the game but it is applicable irl. Ever see the cars at the strip with bicycle tires on the front?

Yeah, this is true on some type of cars irl.
From testing some of my RWD, camber on the front helped but not on all. Not sure what's at cause here, maybe I have to tune the springs etc... for this advantage.

They also do that to reduce overall weight of the vehicle. And yes, 5.0-7.5 camber on the front of a FR car usually reduces time by several thousandths.

BTW Why are we reviving a 6 month old thread?

You get 1030HP out of a ACR?! If thats true then that will play a role, yet I still feel my tune is incomplete and average.

Mind you, a person I beat today in it, claimed his friend had "The World's fastest Viper" . Of course everyone in the lobby was doubtful and I was only beaten by 2 car lengths.

Not bad for a totally incomplete tune against the "world's fastest" :sly: .

it is you want to have your to speed in the upper right hand corner to be at 183 my tune runs an 8.998.... not the best but good

Haha ok tell him to add us id love to see him beat us. Iv already got a plan to make my veyron faster than it already is mate, we will see

what is your veyrons top speed, mine hits 296 in 6th gear
 
302.1 without draft.
 
Record is 302.4mph 10k; standing start

(mine does only 302.2mph :lol: )
 
The best way to learn drag is from the pros and the sticky threads.
 
Anyone think they could help me out, I'm trying to learn how to tune and find some fast cars im new to the game and I'm tryin to learn...thanks
