I honestly have no clue how to tune, is it just a hit or miss process? Try until you get it right? Any tips are appreciated.

Most of the time you start with a base and go from there or find a tune in the tuning forum.

If you check out the link in my sig ("learn to tune") it is for an excellent tuning guide to teach you the fundamentals of drag tuning. There is a lot of trial and error involved but quite a few things that are generally universal.

Thats how it was until we started making guides for you all to read. I'd suggest starting there, that way you can get fast without making the mistakes and the others have.
