Dream Life

Sage, your "white walls" reminded me of something. My restrooms would have car themes. I'd have one that was all red and yellow, Ferrari style. I'd have reall Ferrari merchandise all over, a Pinninfarina-designed toilet, tub/shower, and sink (Built by Kohler, of course), and I'd have that leather that they use and carbon fiber all over. I'm not sure what my walls would be made of though. I want it to ve fiber glass, sanded perfectly smooth, and having that Ferrari red paint--clearcoat and all. Yes, I'd be content waxing my bathroom walls. The fiber glass would be rally echoey though. Regular old drywall would be much quieter, but I don't know if I could sand it smooth enough for a proper car paint look.
Anyway, my other bathroom would be all Porsche. The same stuff, but the toilet, tub and sink would have a Porsche themed design. Smooth curves and such, as opposed to the sharper and crisper lines of the Ferrari room. I'm not really sure what my color would be--pure white (to capture that pure sports car feel), or silver (Porsche's "color" you could say). I'd have some alcantra leather instead of that fancy stuff from Ferrari, less CF, and more aluminum and stainless (I see Porsche as a more modern materialed and cooler company, whereas Ferrari uses warmer colors and classier materials).

I could tell you about the rest of the house, muchless the garage. Then again, I could also write a book about it. What do you think about my bathrooms? I forgot to mention the third one--Lamborghini. Bright pearl yellow, sharp angles and lines, black leather and aluminum accents...

Oh yeah. My house would be like 30 stories tall, but the front of it would be like a giant bow of a pirate ship with a republic attack cruiser sitting on top of it.

Sticking out of that will be my toilet-platform which I will have to take an elevator up to. The platform is a desk with a toilet, and it overlooks the 100 ft. ^2 atrium of my magnificent domus with a star cruiser sitcking out of it. down the middle of the atrium runs a giant koi pond, which turns into an aquarium, which is what the elevator travels through. the column that the toilet platform is situated on double as an aquarium on the inside of the glass. The toilet is also shaped from that glass, with the plumbing running straight down the middle of the giant platform-holding aquarium-column. Basically, people could look up and see your bare bottom through the aquarium, but they would need like 100/100 vision because that's one hell of a colum in one hell of an atrium which is the focus of one hell of a domus. In the star-cruiser section of my house, there is a giant kendo dojo with a suspended wood floor and waterfalls and robots playing taiko drums and crap while practice takes place. The star cruiser also has the congregational room, a place for everyone to congregate, and a giant ski-slope that starts at the nose and ends in the "cruiser plaza" which connects the 3 rooms.

The rest of my house is pretty normal and stuff. All I really care about is the toilet.

edit: look, I drew a picture.

My dream involves living somewhere in New Mexico or Arizona (I love the desert), owning several dirt bikes, an offroad pickup to haul them, and my two dream cars: a Pagani Zonda and a 1966 Pontiac GTO. I might have a practical car, too, like an BMW M3. The rest I still need to decide upon.

I'd be a happy guy that has a job at an architecture firm, who happened to win the lottery. I'd continue to work, but play with my two toys: A 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne Gasser, with a 427, and a 1992 SC300 with a twin turbo 2JZ.

I'd live near Louisburg, Kansas, on the northern part of Miami county. I's also have a condo in Colorado, where I can snowboard if I so choose. I'd have 2 kids and a wife, and two dogs, a Shih-tzu, and a miniature poodle, which won't be cut like other poodles.

Nah, like that'll ever happen.

Really, I just want to be happy with what I've got, and try to do good in the world.

I'd live in a cool house, all the rooms 3x bigger than they need to be, with a pool outside and a huge car park full of cars for when I'm old enough to drive.

I'd also have enough money to build my own private runway next to Nurburgring so I can easily fly there in my private jet when I recieve my pilots liecense.

And I'd own A speedboat for when I get my boaters licence.

And I'd own a car dealership which sold supercars, and I'd be-able to take people on test drives when I pass my driving test

I would live in a decent sized house, none too big, along the beach.

It would have a private race track with a huge swimming pool, water-park style. The entertainment room would be downstairs. It would have a huge plasma TV, insane surround sound (think IMAX surround sound), theatre style seats, and every modern game console (PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, Revolution, etc.) hooked up via 24K gold plated component HD video inputs :D.

I would own 6 CART cars for when friends are over (see: private racing track), a Bugatti Veyron (the multi-purpose car), 1969 Camaro SS (for the strip), Ferrari FXX (the track car), Lamborghini Miura (the daily driver), Lamborghini Murcielago (the casual cruiser), A nice yacht, a very nice fishing boat, and a Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins Diesel decked out to my likings to haul said fishing boat :).

That's a beautiful drawing Omnis, but I think your scale is a little off. I didn't measure it, but I'd say that if you (that dot) are ~6 ft, then the whole house/ship unit is well over 1000 feet high. Probably aroun Sears Tower height, if not taller. But that's still cool--it'll definitely be the tallest house on earth.

Medium-sized house, along the lines Sage described, lots of natural light, modern surfaces, white walls (except they'd be decorated with HUGE prints of cars (Le Mans winners, F1)). 5 bedrooms.

In the house there'd be a home cinema, an ultra high end stereo system, no CDs, it'll be a (massive) hard drive with .FLAC (or any other lossless file) songs on it, speakers would be placed around the house. I'd also have some PCs and Macs in a room. And a simulation rig for racing games.

I'd have a recording studio to make some music which I will put up on a website for download, the studio will also store loads of guitars (Vintage Fenders and Gibsons, along with other modern guitars) amps, and instruments in general. There will also be a room full of scale diecast models, stored in huge glass cases (thick glass shelves though, don't want my models falling!).

Now onto cars:
- McLaren F1 chassis #073
- McLaren F1 LM
- McLaren F1 GTR (will be painted in the Le Mans winning colours)
- BMW M5
- BMW M3
- Ferrari F40 (gotta have a Ferrari!)
And a whole load of other cars :D They will all be in a hermetically sealed chamber, never to see the light of day again. :p

Job? Maybe designing cars for a top team in F1. Mrs. Perfect, two kids (one boy, one girl).

That's pretty much it.

Perfect scale.

OH, crap, I forgot. I would, of course, have a giant traditional finnish sauna with a little finnish dude to maintain it and pronounce sauna with me as I use it in a sentence.
