hey guys. im doing the Dreamcar Championship atm. i just finished the first race on Indy and won by like 45 seconds (LOL). im using a Red Formula Gran Turismo. Tuned to 920 or something

let me know if theyres any really hard races coming up lol

Any suggestions on what to use for this championship...

Something fun, not too expensive, but short or cash after buying the fgt and m3 gtr race in the OCD :)

I dont really want to use the zr1 and fgt is just a different class!

i used stock zonda r, you win it in b-spec, i can't remember what event, the last one in professional i think

It would be hard if you used an equivalent car instead of something that will blow any competition out of the water.

I traded for a Citroen GT Race car and used that, it was tough as that car isn't particularly fast. The Zonda R is good as well, or if you have one of the Ford GT race cars. A JGTC car should be a challenge too.

I finished it with the FGT and i might try it with a peugot 908 or a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 racing modified etc.

The X1 challenge unlocks at level 30. It's too hard for controller users like me. Been on Suzuka for 1 hour and still 1 second off bronze.

Don't bother, both cars are way overpowered for it. You need to use something a bit weaker.
yeah, with the Zonda i had nice battles with the Jag XJR-9, the rest was running a bit behind

just now am playing thru this one: why is the computer opponent dumb on the last 2 rainy races ?? ... unfair, even in a Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo with Racing:Rain tires

I used a Nissan R89C Race car, the last 2 rainy track's were a nightmare it took me 29mins to finish on the ring after cautious driving.

I used the ZR1 RM...average margin of victory was about 4 secs...but I spent alot of time just focusing on staying on track. I got lucky as the only race I had in the rain was at Monza

What are the typical opponents for this race?

I'm wondering if I'll ever find a suitable race for my McLaren F1 Stealth model - currently working my way through Expert Series.

Its quite a varied range of LMP cars and race Cars:

The Jaguar Lemans XJR 9 ,
Ford GT LM SPEC 2 Test car The black premium one in the GT dealership
Ford GT LM SPEC II Race Car The white Standard one
Ford GT 69 Lemans Racer (Gulf livery)
The NSX R LM Prototype
The Citroen GT Race car
The RX7 LM Car
The RX8 Lm Car
The XJR 220 Race Car
The 350 Z prototype LM Racer
Occaisionally you will get the Camaro LM car in place of the RX7

And there's a couple others that don't quite come to mind.

👍 Thanks octaneblood, looks like the McLaren might get to race after all.

wondering whats the most unlikely or 'worst' car people have tryed and won the dreamcar championship with?

I used a stock GT By Citroen Race Car, which I needed to do a LOT of blocking to win, its just not as fast as the Zonda LM, The Ford GT's, or the Jag XJ9

Ran the last race- Nurburgring in the rain with my mighty Minolta Toyota and despite going WAY faster than I thought I could go in the dry much less wet.....
the Jag totally handed me my butt....first he pulled 35 sec. on me on the first lap then pitted and took back my 18 sec. lead in less than 5 minutes of running.
After a couple of variations on that I gave up trying.
I dont understand how I could wax the floor with all the other races and come up so short on this one....

yup, I tried starting on intermediates and wets...the inters were great, the wets were pretty bad but it did seem the inters werent working so well on lap 2... never did look at the wear indicators

Did you change to wet tyres

I've been using the Vertigo (Belgian car), not race modded it or anything and it slightly better than competitive if you can keep it on the road, and the Jag isn't in the Championship.
