I searched and couldn't find anyting similar to this, and GT4 has been out for a while now. So I was wondering,

How many drift cars do you guys have in your garage?

That is to say how many cars do you have set-up specifically for drifting or plan to set up specifically for drifting? This doesn't include cars that you race and occasionally get sideways as I realize that ANY car is capable of drifting. Only list the number of cars that you go to a track in practice mode to drive sideways, or plan to do this with.

I have 86 drift cars, out of 132 total cars. 42 of them are set up for drifting and the rest I bought for the sole purpose of drifting and haven't gotten the cash to upgrade yet.

Haven't counted, but out of the 300 cars in my garage, atleast half are set up for Drifting. If they're not specifically set up for drifting, then Setup 2 usually is.

well, i have 2 garages on the go...

one that is out of cash, and one that i used the AR MAX max cash code on. Both are drift only games, I have yet another race game separate from these 2.

Combined, I'd estimate close to 200, maybe 225 cars for the sole purpose of drifting. But, many I have not touched in 5 months or more, and there are a considerable number of duplicates in these 2 garages (but they have slightly different setups on them).

I have no duplicates, by the way. I have a couple of cars I have not touched and have no intention to, bringing my total to 200 somthing in the garage. But they have no value, so whatever.

i would say i have about 10 cars that i tried to set up to drift but about 40 cars total that i bought for drifting. a lot of cars i usually dont do much to to drift them as far as tinkering with settings

the cars i have setup are basically typical ones you would see at a drift competetion....plus all the pro cars..d1 etc...and others that you don't typically see that are a must like the beemer m3 👍

im either close to 600 cars in my garage, with pretty much every awd i own set-up for drifting or will be at some point...i'd say as of right now i use around 10 or so of em on a regular basis. i have a gameshark and used the money cheat as i also have 2 games setup.

i have at least 100 driftable cars in my garage....and i add about 5 a day....
i use the AR Max code to get 4,522,211,487,539,699 Cr, but of course ive used about 50mil already on drifting alone (heck i spend about 200,000 Cr+ on a single car.....)
I also have a racing file on my other card

i try alot of the settings on this forum and im really into the DPC and DPT so thats alot of money (race cars are now the standard for DPC, so i spend 500,000 and up each round)

I have 2 game saves.. One for racing, and one for drifting... My drift garage contains every car in the game, and at last count 427 of them are set up for drifting, and the rest will be eventually...

wow, i cant even manage to just think of how much cars that is to setup...

i got about 30 cars set up for drifting, but i tend to drift a car untill i get bored with it then find a new car to start tinkering with, coming to think of it my Subaru Spec C is becoming a touch monotonous.....Hmm what to get next

 Sileghty... just tried to drift one hour or so, man i think its hard! and as i have said many times before in other threads: I'll really start ptractise when i got the disc back! (a friend borrowed it  )

EDIT: offtopic: just ordered a video capture card so I can make vids as well 👍

I probably have about 20 cars tuned for drifting... and half of those setups are good. I'm pretty new to drifting setups, so I change my preferences and experiment all the time. Something I'm extremely happy about today may be horrible tomorrow. I realize that a few acclimatisation (sp?) laps will be better than most of the fine tuning I'm capable of, so I'll often keep as much of the car as possible stock (If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;) ). Sometimes I feel it's better to just learn the car.

I do have a number of various silvias, FCs, FDs, AE86s and other random FR/MRs in bootiful colors that I probably will tune someday... I just haven't come around to it yet. Everytime I want a new car to test, I tend to buy one without checking if I have one already :dunce:. I guess some day in the future I'll count in the AWDs too, but not yet. So, number of POTENTIAL drift cars? Probably 100+

Well, I lost count after 200 or so… lol…

But I can count my best and most used drift cars…
6, That’s actually 15 if you count the 8 colours of RX7 LM’s

Why would you guys waste money on cars you aren't going to drive?? I drive all of mine and love it. They are all so different. I have about 15 favorites, but I drive all 132 cars in my garage and drift all 86 drift cars. I haven't even tuned them all, but I still drift them.

Most of us have enough money to buy every car in the game 10 times over, in every color, and still have more than enough money to set them up...

Thank you Gameshark...

<== 99.6% complete & 18million credits LEGIT. CHEATERS! ;) I had to build my drift garage the hard way.

ah, that's what i have to do... finish the game. :sly:
haven't been passed 30% yet.
I spend more time setting and drifting cars than racing (no suprise here).
And I spend more time yakking on GTP and IDM about GT4 than I actually spend playing...
strange, no?

As previously stated, I have 2 game saves... One for racing, and one for drifting... The drifting game save is the one that is Gamesharked... My racing game save is about 82% completed with 100% win ratio, and nearlly all golds... It just wouldn't make sense to go through all of that a second time just for drifting... I would much rather put in a code, get over a trillion dollars, all the cars that must be won (including secret cars), and purchase all the rest (which took a few hours), and be ready to do anything I want... Logic dictates this is the better move... Of course, you need 2 memory cards, a Gameshark/Action Replay/Code Breaker to do this...

;)

Who says you can't combine the two? I've probably drifted the last 10-15% (up to 90 or so now) of my GT4 game heh... put on N3s and went sideways through the premium lounge and the RWD-capable factory races... though I had to grip for the speedster trophy ;)

On another note, I also tried golding my licenses but I got stuck on domestic A graduation :( After a good 4 hours I'm .080 from gold, but at least I can drift silver consistently on that test now :dopey: I tended to just breeze through for bronze and leave it at that when I was using the d-pad, but I thought that gelding would be a good way to learn using a wheel and manual shifter... BTW: is the "A" gold reward a pace car WITHOUT the flashing lights, or isn't there such a thing? I miss the [R] mod from gt2 so much I'll settle for any road car with vinyls and wings lol... I'm so pathetic :p

I'm tired of doing the DTM for credits though, so I might just consider getting a cheat device... You don't have to modify the inside of the PS2 for those to work, right?

off topic
do you have an AR MAX Ske?
I have replay saves of most of my gold license tests that i got using my DFP. If you have an AR MAX you could load mine as a ghost to follow.

and yes, you get the pace car without the light bar.

I don't have any bolt-ons yet, but I might just get one... And if I had one I probably wouldn't bother golding everything when I could just take the golds in one cheating swoop ;) I just know I probably won't be able to gold the LMP/Group C licenses the proper way anyway...

I'd like to get that box that allows you to transfer saves and replays onto an USB disk though...if there is such an option. I don't have the LAN adapter for the PS2 nor can I afford it at the moment, but I think cheat devices is in my price range... Right now I have to delete all my replays once I record them, and that could get painful :(

shame on you, and you post all the time about no off topic posting in the threads. lol

Ok. guy #1, or are you guy #2?? LMFAO.

I'm joking by the way.

I'm only at about 30% also. I spend all of my game time sideways. :sly:

AND SHAME ON ALL YOU CHEATERS!!! YOU LOOSE!!!

I'm not a drifting guy, so I only have 1 drift car (Toyota Supra RZ 97' in silver) in a total of +/- 450 cars.

My ugrades:

N1 tires
Stage 3 weight redution
Racing suspension
Racing Transmission
Racing Flywheel
Triple Clucth
Carbon driveshat
Oil change + everything except any type of turbo

So... 400cv are its power (don't need more)

It drifts very well (probably the best thing I can do is drifting Tsubuka and Trial Montain :indiff:  :) )
