Good entries so far, guys. 👍

Grumpy - Something tells me that drift failed.

Dunno, still looks like he can save it :lol::lol:

Nope, took the drift very tight (to catch the light from the streetlight) but pulled it through, got a little squirrly on the exit but held it, without smacking the wall on the straight or rubbing the nose on the inside. Thank goodness it was a MR, a FR would have drove the nose into the wall on that one.

My other option was more conventional (wider drift) but I liked the lighting on the tight drift.

Holy crap, that was successful? :scared:

Most certainly; The 8th time is a charm, or was it nine attempts before I got it.
With a MR as long as you can keep the wheels spinning (in this case full-throtle w/nitrous), the center of the car holds the direction of the slide, but if your let off the throttle (or nitrous) even a little bit the wheels stop sliding and you gain traction in the direction your pointed. To gain stability again exiting the drift, quickly pump the throttle on and off without touching the brakes until you return to straight, use only slight steering movements to 'fine-tune' your line. Also each MR seems to need a slightly different setup, but seems to be very dependent on your Limited-Slip & Transmission settings, in order to make and keep the wheels spinning on command.

MR's are tough to drift at high speeds, and there is very little room for error since most of the weight is in the center, a MR gains traction easily. Where as a FR has most of the weight in the front which almost drags you through a drift as long as you take the right line.

I think I'm rambling a bit too much...

Understood. Take it this was done on Race tires?

Actually It was sport tires, don't remember if it was Soft Fronts & Medium Rears, or Medium Fronts and Hard Rears. Either way I like using different front and rear tire to hopefully create a traction differential. I couldn't control the car with Economy tires, and had too much traction with racing tires.

Ah, staggered. I see. Very wicked drift, I think once again you'll prove to be in the running. 👍

Cheers

There's no doubt in my mind, it's quite a stout car when done up well.

Cheers,

Yeah, it wouldnt let me put turbo on it so I did the engine 3 rebuild along with port/polish and that and put the intercooler on it and I think Im running N1 tires all the way around from what I remember.

I have something coming.
