A good example of what I typically do is what Stefan Rosier does in the "Faszination" video, zipping the Ruf Yellowbird around the 'Ring. If you watch it, he's not doing exhibition-style drifting, he's just slinging the car around the corners. And yes, I plan to get a Yellowbird in GT4 and try to do what he did.. hehe.

Yes my Bud, I prey for the PD to read this, because, I am 100% SURE that to make a car pour that much smoke it would only be possible in GT4 if the RUF were with 900HP or more.

They don't think, for exemple that a car with 200hp can do much smoke if well pushed to the "maximum violence". They just think a car with 200hp doesn't do so much tire smoke, but, think again, if you get a car with 200hp you can do such a monstruous cloud of smoke.

DO you agree??

For GT series to be more realistic, they have to think deeply in this way.
Not just do as they think it's nice... no.. it's not nice, NOT EVEN CLOSE.... NFSU is waaay closer than that(u have to agree with me)...

So Polyphony, pleeease, please make it more accurate, more realistic, you had so much time to think how to do that.

Nope, I played it for 25 minutes and returned it to blockbuster wishing I had my $6 back.

But, smoke takes a lot of processing power away from other things, so I could see why it would cause a slowdown - this is probably the reason why smike in the GT series is so limited - I'd rather have a smooth running game with minimal smoke as opposed to a choppy game with great smoke effect.
