I was practicing on el capitan and was having problems with a certain turn, i just cant figure out how to get it right, should i do an inertia drift or drive straight out

anyway i recorded the one that seemed to be the most efficient ( remember im doing this for speed not style)

ANy suggestions on how it couldve gone better?

Well, if your trying to speed drift, my advice to you is limit the angle as possible.

If you can link the corners just right it's faster than what you did, but it involes lots of e-brake on the short straight.

no im actually thinking wats faster hwo i did it or should i inertia drift

English. In english please, with proper grammar and punctuation.

I'm not beating on you, I've just begun to notice that we have to be a bit more attentive to this issue. In particular, both Swift and I.

the speed was fine actually and i was trying to link the turns but evertime i did that it slowed me down, i suspect its just the car settings but when i tried it with my mr2 i didnt even have to link i came out of the turn facing the straight away so i just used grip and gained speed but then again the mr2 is twice as fast as this thing

Hiya Hiryuu.

Welcome to the forums!

You may want to change the title of this thread. It's rather misleading. Maybe to "Speed drift Video, your comments?" or something like that. It sounded like you had a writeup for drifting when I first read the title. (you can change the title by editing the title of the first thread ;) )

As long as you know that grip driving is faster then ALL forms of drifting and you're having fun, then it's all good.

Have fun!

Actually i was planning to take vids of how to do certain drifts thats why i named it references

Like i was tring to do here, how to speed drift efficiently and incorporate grip effectively at the right times but then again i also plan to do some drift vids to get as much angle and speed as possible

Like has been said, grip is faster if you're going for speed. If you insist on drifting it, then lift-off would probably be the fastest way (if you get it to turn in at high speeds). Feinting seems to require a bit of setup time and earlier braking, which will slow you down. To me it looks like you've pretty much nailed it in that clip though... I'd also recommend gripping that left bend before the tunnel, cause it's the start of a high speed section so you'll obviously need speed.
