Well what tires do u use? I use the supersoft for the rear and the normal tire for the front it helps me drift better for me. What tires do u use?

If I wanted to drive on crappy tires with crappy sidewalls, I'd go drive my real car =)

I drift with softs on all fours. I find the super softs to be a little too sticky, and anything less doesn't allow me to use the car's full potential.

if you like buying the top of the line mods (turbo 4 na 3) and have hte HP above 500 then use softs.
if you like 300-500 HP then stick with sims.

Are you sure? Don't you mean super softs in the front and normals in the rear? Otherwise I can't see how you could drift. A little understeer is good but with normals in the front I think it would be hell getting the rear loose. But if you do drift that way then props to you.

Anyways I use all tires, but mostly sims with 300hp cars and normals with about 500 hp.

T2 or T3 or sims depending on hp and suspension settings.... i dont get y you think you cant use the cars full potential on anything less than softs, pergatory... with the way they wear anything could kick your ass in a race... if they were on normals or anything slipperier than mediums... oh well... why waste money on grippy tires if you are gonna drift anyways... your just gonna waste what little time you have at orange in two or three turns...

not true. GT3 is a racing game. so those expensive tires are good for grip. drifting was GT3's main purpose. but if you like drifting 900 HP cars go for the super-softs.

hmmm ok... look at the nsx in america or japan... you will see that the nsx type zero is better than the nsx type r ( assuming that either both will have the same mods applied or that stock both are the same chassis... the latter is not true in real life but mods can fix that) but costs less... the same is true in the americas.... the first nsx is cheaper than the second... but the first has better torque and hp to weight ratios... so money doesnt always buy you the best... i could beat a gt one with a 300-400 hp s2000 with suspension mods if i was on superslicks and you were on the most exp tires super softs... whether or not you pit... just give me 10-15 laps with tire wear and you are gone... maybe if you are on super softs i could kill you in 5-7... they may be like rails but arent worth a dime with tire wear on...

what you said is what companies like bmw want you to believe so they can sell youa 3 series as a performance machine when it can be out handled and outrun by cars 10k cheaper new and used carsless than half the price...
money does not always go hand in hand with the best...

its called rip offs

Yes, youse are my people. All the "supercars" that cost nearly a half million dollars(Ferrari's, Lambo's, ect.) are the biggest rip offs I have ever seen. The only "high dollar" car I would ever buy would be a GT-R. Why pay a but-load of money when you can swap a GT-R engine in an early 240Z for about $10,000(includes price of car). Go to www.geocities.com/stonehac/homepage to see it. With a STOCK RB26DETT in his Z-car, it pulled a 11.1 sec pass in the 1/4 mile and estimated top speeds of over 170mph wih a 5-speed GT-S transmission. Put about $100K into the whole car(aerodynamics, engine blueprint, suspension, 6-speed sequential transmission, ect) and you could smoke any car in any category that any manufactuer ever came out with, Even the Bugatti Veyron. With OVER 900 HP in a car that weighs close to 2200lbs, it could probably do sub-8 sec passes(if you can get traction) and over 230mph. It would own everything and be a hella sweet sleeper car at that.

yeah but if someone ask you what car you own and you say nissan,he will say ok,but if you say ferrari,he will say woow lucky you.and you pay for quality too thats why i wont ever buy a civic or a celica ,later i will buy maybe a used bmw .except for like the rx-7,nsx,supra,skyline will those are amazing cars.

you also pay to fix your ferrarri... even more so with a lambo...

cars that have that much technology put into them are not for the reckless nor the ignorant to drive... or the unwealthy...

bimmer is overrated... cept for m5...

i would buy a porsche if i wanted leather and luxury in my sprts car... i dont care if its a "poormans" 944 or 928... i would die for a 928 gts... Porsche is amazing... and no where near as overrated as bimmer... but at least bimmer is not a MERC... thank god for that...

if i was going to purchase a vehicle that cost as much as an m5... why not shell out another 25-35 k dollars and get a car no one has ever seen... a true exotic like a trv tuscan or a lotus or... or... or any other british s[ports car... or hey why not get a car with actual prestige... like any cosworth or a rs200...

but hey y not save some money and get a japanese sports car... and when you can afford to pay for your luxury get a luxury sport or hell JUST a luxury car...

whew...

i guess i am just trying to say whats more important... the technology... the amount produced (a reason for exotics higher price)... the luxury... the name ( the reason for ferrari and lambos outrageous price)

for me the above is in descending order of importance

if you lived in the us and said you owned a real sil 80 i would be impressed... probably more impressed than if you owned a m3...

back on subject i always use sims in back (with one exception with my fc, witch gets away with normals in the back) and sports in the front so i stick better.

yea. when you use stickier tires in the front the counter-steering kills the drift too fast. when you have the same tires on all fours, it's balanced. you kno when the drift is going to end because the the rear tires act the together with the front. i get why people do stickier up front but i don't like it.

i always use mediums
all my cars have no tcs or asm and I only reduce weight up to stage 2.
I try to keep all my cars raceable, but still driftable. Sometimes i wanna be serious, sometimes i just wanna mess around =P

Exactly, since Sil 80s arent sold in the state they would get be more impressed. Like if I had a Skyline GTR R34 VSPEC II only sold in Japan and Europe until Motorex started to shipped the skylines. But u still dont see alot of skyline around since they are so rare and cost around 100g. What would u think would impress someone more A japanese car that is rarely seen or a Ferrari 360 Modena which is not that rare. The skyline was name at one time the FASTEST 4WD PRODUCTION CAR. I would choose the Skyline over the 360 anytime. The rarer the car the more its worth i think.
