can anyone give a setup to drift only in second gear in big turns because all my drift cars need to go in third even with overpowered car

Thats normal. I prefer being in 3rd gear because you can go faster and its slightly easier to control the drift in my opinion. I drift in 2nd on tight corners but try to keep most of my drifts in 3rd, even 4th if needed. I'm pretty sure real life drifters use 3rd most of the time. It is after all the most powerful gear in any car.

I personally try not to use 2nd gear at all, I may have to go down to it in some hairpin corners but kick it right back up into 3rd. Set your lsd right and you will keep spinning them tires even moving up or down a gear (which can be done mid corner if needs be)

it is different with every car in the game.

cars like the f40, lexus LFA, enzo ect and anything else with high top end speed ratios will require you to use 1st or 2nd gear more, more regular cars, FD, s2k ect with close ratio boxes require the use of 3rd/4th gear because they are engineered for accel and not top end.

Spread the Transmission Gearing to a HUGE amiunt, That should sort it!

Having the gears too spread apart isn't probably good. Maybe somewhere that could go to it's to a less large amount of Gearing. Plus it need's some steering Information too.

well.. without a car needing to stay in second gear you need a huge gap! personally, i use 3rd for any corner requiring it, i dont think "wait why cant i use 2nd).. why do you want to change what gear you should be going round?

RUF '00 likes 2nd in most corners but is not relevent. I have some cars were I only use one gear through a corner and others (mainly tuned Japanese cars) that I go from 3rd to 5th all in one drift.

I use 2nd gear for tight corners and I use 3rd for High Speed corners.

yeah because they corners require those gears. i dont look at a corner and think i want a lower go tho thats what im saying

my g25 shifter is messed up so i have problem with 3rd and 5th gear :ill:so trying to drift only with second gear

Ahh... In that case raise your gearing to allow 2nd to get higher speeds so you can still spin the wheels when your doing 40-50mph. However, it won't work well really.

Your better off just using a car with huge torque that can drift in 4th all the time.

In a real car, you normally use 3rd and 4th gear depending on diff ratios. On my car, it has a 3.91 final drive and about 340-360bhp so will be using 3rd and 4th on the faster corners and never really use 2nd.

Even with my road car I use 3rd when drifting and it only has 160bhp at the moment.

How about shortening the ratios to the max and then using 2nd, 4th and 6th? Not sure if you could get them close enough to be able to get through them without such big jumps in ratio. If only we could change ratios individually :indiff:

Some cars such as the big mercs, vipers and other cars with big V8s, V12s etc have the torque to pull 4th and 6th if you play around with the final drive but really better off to just send back your shifter to logi-tech and get a new one as your just compromising things otherwise.
