Hey dudes, i want to start drifting. I've played GT5 ever since release date but never tried drifting. Im a seriously fast driver so countersteering is no problem at all. But when it comes to direct drifting its still a little too tough.

Im using a Logitech DFGT. As you assume i can buy any car that you think is good so if any of you out there knows a car good for drift beginners please tell me with settings too.

And btw if you have got any tips or tricks too please let me know ;)

Thanks in advance ;)

S13 or 370z but make site you get a wheel tune otherwise it'll be hell to drive.

I'm not a drifting expert. I'm a beginner too. First time i tried to drift i used my fully tuned Clio v6 (Premium) on sports hard. It actually turned out to work pretty good. It's easy to drift with it and is semi-easy too control. But i'm not an expert.

I too am a beginner, although I'm a casual drifter more than anything. Although I prefer to drift with a DS3 than my wheel, if I were to start drifting with my DFGT, I would start with a low powered RWD car like a S2000 or Silvia like the others suggested. I would reccomend using CS tires too.

Hello all beginners click my drift garage for tons of tips, trick, and most importantly tons of tunes. I advise choosing a car with lower HP not a 1000hp monster.

Its not about what car... its about witch setup.
Cose all FR are capable to go in sideways with a decent setup.

What worked best for me starting out was the newer rx7 premium and the s2000 build the car like any race car minus turbo stick to n/a or stock turbo if your in the ball park of 340-410hp you should have no problem throwing the cars around if u want setup info add me on psn KYD302 and i'll hook you up with an s2k rx7 s15 setup thats good for starting also the e46 m3 csl or gtr work great for drifting to but you dont want more then 500hp and start on comfort soft tires when ur getting the hang of it on soft tire before u even master it move to a harder tire and push yourself getting comfortable on one set of tires is bad news and can destroy your learning curve and it'll take you longer to break the habit of using softer tires as most drift rooms set tire restrictions to comfort hard

Go with the 240sx or the Hachi-Roku.

He might not understand what the Hachi-Roku is, & the 240sx is pretty rare, so it's gonna be hard to find.

A good start car would be the 370z or 350z, S13, RX-7 FC & FD. But, like Lazy Liquid said,

What the? Haha yeah I don't recomend someone to start off in a 370 or a FD. S13 and FC yes. But like I said go with the Hachi Roku!

I started with a Camaro SS '10.... It is all about the setup. I would reccomend a car that you are familar with racing around the 400-500hp mark. Slap some comfort hards on then just practise from there....

Im not really one to force tunes on someone and be all "THIS TUNE IS LIKE SUPER AWESOME" but my friends came over and one of them has played GT before and is familiar with the control of it.

I was showing them all the new stuff, like the 86' from the 2.02 patch i had modded so its easier to drift. He has never drifted before and i was surprised how well he could did, considering how frustrated it made me to tune the car the way i like it... (its been awhile since ive posted a tune, ive been kinda selfish lol) this was made with a controller btw.

Toyota 86' GT 2012
The only thing i dont have installed is a Wing. You could, but i recommend taking all of the downforce off.

@KYD302

You must be new here lol

Just a heads up before a mod decides to give you a warning, all caps basically signifies yelling, and you dont just go up to a random person and yell facts in their face. XD

Bigger doesnt always mean better.

Welcome to GTP though! :D

When i started it was with bmw i dint know how to tune my cars and bmw has gd stock tunes i suggest the m3 csl,gtr or the premium one
