You and how many other guys? Gotta throw a plug for my friend Ja'Nielle though. I'd take Ja'Nielle over Nadine any day! =) Too bad she lives 30 miles away =(

I NEED SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH!
LOL!

i would like to see the video of you guys, if you say its better, its not a challenge or anything, but i really like to see other people twin drift, so i can learn from them, i like to watch others and learn new things, so hope to see it soon.

well me and akina is trying to spread around our town about drifting, akina found 3 friends that can drift very good, plus we gave our settings to them and tell them a lot about drifting, let them watch Initial D and some D1 videos. I got my friends to drift and i havent seen him, but everytime i see him, he told me he's better, but i have never tell them to drift with SIM, i tell them to start off with SS tires and my SS settings, but as long as they can drift, then its all good right? but im trying to teach everyone who likes or play GT3 how to drift and show them many videos of me and akina drifting in GT3, i just want people to get into GT3 so there'll be more competition and more new challengers, because i really need new challenger, it gets me bored and now i stop playing for about 3 weeks. But imma start drifting and set up more drift cars and grip cars to race again.

I have 3 friends who want me to teach them to drift, 1 claims he can own me in gt3, but when i showed him drifting his jaw dropped. i tried to teach him but after 3 weeks now he still cant do it. my cousin was the one who taught me tho, we took our 1000hp supras in the game and drifted with them, but then i found this site :D . o yea what does dori mean?

Hey there drifters, this may sound like a stupid question and you will probably just wind up referring me to another thread, but how do you guys teach others how to drift? I've been trying for several months now and no one I run across has the skill or the patience. No matter how much I explain that it takes time to get drifting down packed or even to where it looks good and you won't spin out. I mean, I still spin out occasionally and I don't just quit. It's like no one I run across has the desire to drift. They love to watch and always ask that proverbial question, "Man, how do you do that?!" Saying, "That's so cool, I wish I could do that." Then when I teach them, they just give up and never try again. It sucks being around quitters all the time. You would think that being in the Marine Corps would teach you to not quit, but I guess not. Oh well, I'll just be a wonderer for a while I guess. Or at least until I get back to the U.S.

Unfortunately there are no shortcuts, it just takes time to learn. It will be frustrating at first but so is any sport.

yeah. its very easy to give up when you first start. i remember cursing at my TV when i used to spin out all the time  . it takes a lot of patience, which alot of people dont have.

and yeah, i've also noticed that it's a little harder to drift in 2 player mode. the main reason for me is because i need the normal gauges, i need to see the needle and the redline.

Yeah it's annoying at first, I use to just pound my fist into my wheel as hard as I could when I would spin, now I take pretty much every turn the way I want to. It's funny how much a little patience pays off.

I gave up my wheel when I couldnt drift with it  I returned it, rebought it, and then worked with it, now I wouldnt drift without it. :p

If you want to learn how to drift, I have a video of the Drift King Keiichi Tsuchiya, that teaches you the basics, and also some more advanced techniques.

If you have a suggestion of how I could send a 600mb file, I'll zip it up, and send it to you. :D

GT3 is 20 if you get the Greatest Hits version. I got my wheel (Logitech Forcefeedback) for 80. Well worth it, but dont expect to be drifting like Tha Cuda your first try..It took me like..4 months to get this far, and I've still got another 700,000% until I reach the infamous CudaMan.. :D

wait is there like Drifting Courses on GT3 or like drift contest? any suggestion on wat car to get?

only experience is driftin on Vice City :p

No drifting courses, some are better than otheres, but I dont think any of them were designed for it. No drift contests, other than here online. There will be in GT4, though. First car, Get an AE86.

wow i feel lucky, i got gt3 about 2 months ago for 9.99 used

I just thought about it. And this is exactly why I hate Michigan. This is a place where large fuzzy dice hang proudly, like testicles, from rearview mirrors.. No one drifts. No one knows what "Dori" means. When you explain it means drift, they ask if its the same as drifting away from your sex life and your wife. When explained it's a sort of artform (In my opinion), they just laugh and say "Why should I turn, when I can go straight in my gremlin?" This is why I hate this place so much..
