I started a thread with the drift competition already. Go take a look and see if you still want to participate in it :)
 
In the drift competition thread, there should be the type of steering (DS2, D-pad, wheel...) with the name of the competitor and car, oh! and why not the hp of the car.

I know I'm doing lots of suggestions.:rolleyes:
I stop if I bother.
 
Just had a quick look at the competition thread, Think that there are far to many options regarding courses and corners the organizer should specify the track/corners to be tackled otherwise there will only be one event. Should have just made the first event simple one corner, FR drivetrain and then build it up from there. Also now think that controlers should be discounted as an issue and is down to what competitors want to use. Be interesting to see how it turns out..............
 
this competition is really an early form. sort of a pre-alpha if you will ;) we will hold this one, see how many people are interested, take suggestions from the competitors, and mold the competition so that everyone is happy! we already considered the "one track at a time" but decided to have open entry for this one. for the next competition we may just do the single track, up to you guys though :P
 
Don't get me wrong I think its good that your putting it together and making it happen :D good luck. Would register and have a go myself but no access to vid capture equipment at the mo.

Q. are the judges competing in the event as well :confused:
 
Well, we can incorporate your suggestions in the next drift competition. I hope this drift competition will turn out to be a success. When do you want to start the next drift competition after this one?
 
That was the whole point of this thread....for suggestions on how to stage a drift competion

Explain your marking system a little more deeply do competitors start with 10 points for each catagory and then have points deducted? I belive real comps are judged on a 100 point system maybe worth a bit of investigation.

Q. How can a pro compete in the am section as well :confused:

Not trying to pick holes in what your doing just providing a little feed back for the organisers.

Where will we be able to view the entries?
 
nascar drivers compete in busche and winston...(i hate nascar but this is an example) as for the points..that isn't final. if we see an advantage to using a 100 point system we can switch easily.

the entries will be hosted on a site..not sure which one. available for download...
