On deep forest i whipped a 180 threw it in reverse and then drifted around the final turn backwards only to do a k turn and continue wit my buisness. I put up this thread to plant seeds in your heads. if i can do one turn maybe some of you guys can do it around every turn

Uh, well I think you said something about drifitng backwards in there. But since most of it wasn't English. I'm not sure. I did catch the part about the video capture device though. If you spend 300$ on it, well, you better get the best out there. YOu can get them for 100$. But that's not the point.

We don't care about proving youself and what you can do. It's about attitude and maturity. You make excuses before you even finish your point, you pretty much say that we're all going flame you, and then get angry.

Drifting in reverse sounds very strange. I'm not sure of the physics, but maybe in an AWD or FF it's possible.

OH, and why would you post a new thread then leave?....that doesn't make any sense. :dunce:

I've tried drifting in reverse before with front wheel drive cars before. I never had much lucky simply because reverse can only go a certain speed so it limits your power. Its a good idea but its really only applicable on very... very small turns.. and even then u may need to start out ur drift regularly, spin out and somehow manage to drift backwards.

People will most here on GTP dislike bad grammar. With that typing I'm surprized you haven't been scared away already. Its actually easier to type the regular words then type out slang like that. You have to remember not everyone is not like you and we have people here with english as their second language. So try and straighten out your grammar and you won't have it so hard around here.

As for a video card you've been gravelmy misinformed. You can get a low end video capture card for around $30-$40 ( ATI Wonder VE ). Decent quality and better can go from $50 to $140. But thats nowhere near $300.

Good luck on the boards and with your drifting :)

yeah, i've done it in a skyline before. I was just playing around and spun partially backwards into the last turn on grand valley, i was backwards and still sideways facing the inside, then at the exit i whipped back around again. weird as hell... can skylines do that in real life? i would have a heart attack if someone did that in real life. btw i was in mines skyline and i was going about 90mph entering the turn i think. stock w/ sims. i came out slow as hell, about 40mph, but i've only tried that once.

There was a vid, that was posted here about a year ago (I think)... It showed a Civic SIR (Hatchback) drifting backwards around the Midfield hairpin (into the tunnel).... It was a cool little replay, and I'm sure it took them quite a few tries to get it down.... Does anyone else remember this clip?...

I've never had much interest in such practices... I'm too busy trying to drift them forwards....

Listen to LifeWater.... You don't have to spend $300 to get a good capture card.... I spent $160 on mine (ATI All-In-Wonder 9000 Pro) and it's fantastic...

;)

DJ REX
i got the All-In-Wonder at best buy for $70

Which one?... The 9000 Pro?...

I bought mine a year ago, so I'm sure the prices have come down since then...

HAHA... I knew I wasn't crazy!... Yeah, post it up.... I'm sure the next generation of GTP'ers would love to see it....

Did you perform the drift, or do you just have it saved to your comp?...

Yeah i was pretty upset that day and took it out on the forum, sorry. I lived in northern PA, I live by Philadelphia as of today, and I am going to Universal Technical Institute in Exton, PA in October. I was supposed to start this month but they lost some of my paperwork or it did't get filed right, i don't know. I found out on friday while I was on here that I had to send them 100 dollars to postpone my start date. I usually run my posts threw spell check and grammer check first but I was a little stressed. I edited it though so theres no more of that. I think I can borrow a video camera and my freinds got a video card in his computer so i'm going to try to post a vid. Once again I am sorry if i offended anybody.

I was in the Fairlady Z (350 Z) when i did it and i don't think it can be done on big turns. The last turn on deep forest is a 90 degree turn so it works pretty good. It did take me a lot of tries but if your are going fast enough and spin the car around right before the corner you can keep up some of your speed.

You live near Philly. I'm not to far from there. About an hour or so south.

Anyway, yeah. It's all good. We all have those days everynow and again.

In one of the GTPDC or whatevr comps I was gona enter but I didnt bother, I was drifting like 3 turns in reverse and kept on going in reverse.

Drifting in reverse isnt too hard as lon gas you limit the turn to small and actually startout going reverse. Couple tries and youll have it.
