:eek: :drool: Anim8or rocks!!! I downloaded it and i started the Eggplant tutorial. :D I was surprised that a 3d Rendering program would run on the trust ole' 266! :D
 
hey kirkis9 I figured I could go a little more into detail about the character I put forth whether you use him or not.

He is a quiet guy for the most part, anything he says has real meaning behind it and does not say anything in vain. A confident and positive person about everything he does. He accepts any challenge given for pride is important to him. He is the first to say he doesn't know something if asked, but in a matter of a short time finds the answer and gets it towards the questionaire asap. Spends a good deal of time on the computer and working on his car. He likes to use the two in conjunction with each other. He was on the route to becoming a race car driver but with totalling his Miata, it made him re-think what he wanted to do. Now He works for a car dealership as an IT manager.

He has a closed personal life where only one other person really knows what is going on in it. That is his buddy of 19 years which is currently living in Japan. He is a gentleman when it comes to Ladies. He is not pushy nor aggresive with them. All the women that come in contact with him get very comfortable around him and a matter of two or three meetings they seem to be telling their life stories to him. He is dedicated to his career and driving now so women take a back seat at this point.
 
do you have an FF character yet? if not how bout a guy around 6'1, light build, crazy eyes, normal clothes. drives a Honda Prelude Type-S ('98) the car is completely gutted out with individual throttle bodies and an open header ;) and he always cranks up his music when he races (techno of course) but he only has 1 speaker in the driver side door to reduce weight :p

and maybe to add to my description....he's older than most of the other characters maybe in early 20's (if the other characters are around 17ish) and he likes to tell stories "of the good old days" where he'd race every weekend and how he beat everybody. Maybe in his past he used to race and was actually really good until a buddy or possibly somebody he was racing against (maybe KT_Mazda_Fd3s's character) was killed, and he never really got over it. Maybe that's why he doesn't race anymore..but nobody really rememers it except the older racers who've been around a while (who respect him for his skills), while all the young guys just think he's full of $&^*.:D
 
Info about "my" character (Power Slide). A little short guy (around 5'5) that will accept any challenge given. He respects his elders and can be very kind. He is a bit shy, but will butt into a conversation if he knows even the slightest bit about the topic. He doesn't say much around the rest of the Drifticons. He just listens in to all of their conversations. He lives in the twisty hills of Japan. He lives with his girlfriend in a small 3 room apartment. His name is written in Japanese characters under the drivers side door handel. His girlfriend's name is writtin under the passenger side door handel. All of the opponents he has defeted are writtin on the back of his trunk lid. He takes very good care of his car. He fixes everything himself. He leaves scratches on his car as a sign of "battle scars". The only physical damage he repairs, is if parts of the body come off after a crash or a brush up against an opponent or guard rail. He has a loud stereo system in his Silvia, but he does not play it loud as not to disturd other people. The only time he plays it loud is when he is racing. He plays upbeat vocal trance/house to get his adreniline pumping. After a race, he plays mellow trance to calm him.

If you need anymore info, just ask. I'm still full of ideas :D

I wouldn't think you were full of shat. I would respect you for your skills and the sheer fact that you are older and more experienced.
 
i wanna change my mind if nobody has taken " feint motion" i take him, but could he have a sil-80 intead of a 180sx, but keep the scissor door. and he would have so much power on his car that a flame would shoot out almost 2 to 3 feet from the cars exhaust that would be awsome. i will draw him my self and try to draw the car also to help out.
 
Well I geuss I should front some info on my character, And instead of traction being the leader I am gonna change it to Feint Motion, it just sounds cooler.

Feint Motion-
Leader of a notorious but respected group of racers who call themselves the Drifticons, being 18 he has more experience then the others in the team, and since he is the oldest aside from Traction (in the 180SX also 18) the rest of the group looks up to him. He hardly says anything, he only replies with smiles and smirks. A loner, who is so focused on his driving he doesnt date. Although he has put a lot of time and money into the engine, most of his hours and money goes into ways to make the car lighter.
Feint is a very mysterious driver, nobody knows his actual name. When he drives he doesnt drive hard he drives with grace and elegance. After every race he smokes a cigarette and gives the butt to his opponent and always says "In case you didn't get a good look are my butt, you can study this one." The only thing he ever said to the main character was that he had a cigarette waiting. As odd as it may seem he listens to classical music when he races to "lighten" the moment.
 
ok I got more pics of the Camaro, but in different colors. This are the designs I have in story for it in the near future so I thought these would be good to put down here This is the start with the hood

couple problems with the interior is the fact that the car is running a six speed manual instead of an auto, sorry few interior pics of a third gen camaro. The car is a midnight black instead of red and there is an LS1 Engine from the latest gen Camaro SS in it. The reason for the hood is for the StealthRam intake system attached to the LS1 engine. There are a list of mods done to this car, a lot to tell the truth. I unfortunately have not gotten this car on a dyno yet so I can't tell you the exact HP or Torque but I am sure it is running over 450hp and 490lbs-ft. - everything that could be taken out of the car has, except for two racing seats in the front. The rear axle has been taken out of the car and replaced with a racing axle. With that in mind independent rear suspension and big disc brakes have been added to the car for stopping power. This solves the wheel hop problem of third gen Camaros. For areo dynamic pleasures a set of black gto headlight covers and taillight covers were added to the front of the car. Nothing fancy is put onto the car. Everything has purpose on it down to the frame. There are two giant 4 inch exhaust tips following a 2 4 inch exhaust pipes from the headders on the car. opposing sides on the rear. There are no stickers anywhere on the car. the only hint that the car races is the minor scratchs on the front bumper and side rocker panels.

To add onto the character a little more. He is not the leader of his team due to the fact that it would literally stress him out having to deal with anyone on the team. He hands that roll over to a buddy of his. Although he is not the leader, he knows he would out-drive anyone on his team, and most of the racers he racers against. Benn driving ever since he was 5 on closed circuits and always behind a car with massive power since 16. He apparently is one of the older if not the oldest member racing the mountains at night. Interestingly enough he is always there a second or two after he is supposed to be, leading into some issues I am sure of. He doesn't drive with his team unless they are traveling elsewhere instead of his home area. He hangs out around a local Pub, not looking to drink, but looking to chat to locals about anything and everything.

yeah but if you read the other part..he doesn't race anymore so the young guys have never really seen him race and don't know he actually has skills. They think he just talks trash and can't back it up.:D

ethix101: c'haracter update has added alot to the story in more than just the charcter! the first time you described him was the guy being large in apearence, macho attitude, talks trash and then runs away because his 88 JETTA (keep reading you still got the s15)is so precious and has 16v 2.0T 98 jetta engine swap w/T3 Super 60 Turbo & internal wastegate(like the one you described earlier that went out into the pond!.)
this was your idea so you got it, the jetta and the GTI finialy have a showdown because it is so obvious to the reader that this would happen, so there was no race in the whole story until then. It will be the volkswagon ice road battle in the middle of winter, tho equal in abilities, the icy road along the lake is the victor.
this will be the horrific crash in which both cars are totaled. the biggest turning point in the whole series, i plan this to happen towards the end of the first phase. both him and the main character will go through the many internal changes making them overall better racers (the two phase profile split will aplly to both characters!). i did not say they would be buddies:O . In fact there is equal hatred towards eachother, feeling as if the other guy was to blame. they both evolve in different ways, the jetta driver becoming more modest and pleasent, and the main character is commited with gettiing revenge, he goes nuts! but it doesn't stop there. :trouble:
the next character profile you gave was a more refined personality, the kind of which had a bad experience and changed, (just like the main character, but in a whole different way)this is where his blue drift spec s-1580 you submitted will come in to have that mirror battle once again( because the reader knows its that obvious), the same road and time of year of course .
then the part comes in when he doesn't race anymore so the young guys have never really seen him race and don't know he actually has skills. They think he just talks trash and can't back it up. BUT HE CAN!

w0rd, the story sounds sweet. I kinda changed up some stuff in my last post that didn't entirely fit with my original idea, but I thought it gave the character more depth than the "trash talking guy with a cool car". Use whatever you like. I'll just keep throwing ideas out there and you can pick and choose what you think would work with your story hehe.:D

we got the same ideas here, there will be crashes and deaths all the time, i feel REALLY guilty killing off some characters:rolleyes: but some will be so annoying and ridiculous in nature, that their death wsa meant to be, but it will add alot of drama!

i like your idea of the white FC (Initial D RIPOFF ALERT!!!) but the main chick is reserved, hands off perv.

speaking of snuffing : ill have to find a good vollenteer who's chararcter will crash,total his car, laugh about it through a bloody smile and come back again, IN EVERY CHAPTER, taking on the role of 'kenny'. what the hell ill just pick one :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :trouble:

WHOA!! almost forgot aboot the chaser, it was a gt3 fav(do they come in any color besides blue?) , i still watch this one replay on cote d' azur when the toms was set on ultra sensitive lsd and did spin drifts thruogh that downhill back 2 back hairpins and brake slided into the next straight away. ANYWAYS, the chaser is an incredible vehicle which cannot be ignored:D you got it dude, its going to make an apearence in the beggining of the second phase according to the timeline

in other words they are """""DRIFTICON 3"""" by plain sight they drive sil80s, 180s, 240 sx, however when in evi is about (when they begin to loose) they reveal themselves as a group of giant robo pilots that when their mechs combine they make the DRIFTICON 3 (or X,Z,AAA,whatever) which had many attacks, like the drifticon slide! and the lighting boost attack, or the nismo finisher attack :D the other marines here REALLY caught on to this team especialy the officers so it became a direct order, kidding.... its going to happen anyway:lol: great team, but i love robots too.

authors note: i cant stand creating standard, publicly accepted ideas. it will have to be dangerous to mental health when read .the little voice cant allow it.:)

ok...so the girls taken eh?....what if the girl is taken and they make a deal "if i win this race, i'll leave your girl alone" and then they have a race with the girls boyfriend...and the twist is he dies...o well everyone now knows the story!

i like it, however the color white on the FC has to go. i think it should reside with takeshi ryoske's character and stay there for respectablilty. D'
an aluminum sliver w/blacktrim FC? I used one in Initial D another stage, and still hasn't lost to anyone yet!
this is as close as its going to get but your character is IN alright. and that mishap death is a gorgeous way to apply the sympathetic wedding, i mean FUNERAL. the brother may have scored a win, a win in the saddest way that he cannot express .the wake in full attendence of course. it will be at that point in which the racing community faces the grim reality of the sport. now many may quit but some want to continue, hmmmmm.

is your character an old friend he once had in school when they were still fighting over the same girl?

wow! thanx guys.... i could change the color to a dark blue?...it you dont like that we can have your color i dont mind....but are you drawing these cartoons on paper or wot?....

it would be a good idea to have them as old friends fighting over the same girl...or...what if like they used to be best friends, and since this character is better looking, he once stole his mates girlfriend (who is not this girl) and that got their friendship ruined, but the thing was this character was only using the girl and she got very heart broken :( and the main chracter has never forgiven my character for that incident

wears a throwback and some pants.

Their girlfriends could have afro-puffs!! Not trying to be mean or anything, but afro's and afro-puffs are the funniest things I've ever seen. Next to a bald white guy that shaved his head for no reason. :lol:!!
 
the drifticons are an important part already, it would give it away if i told you!. the concern of the giant combining robot idea was brought to me by some others, and your right, its kinda willy silly.

finished some concept sketches so HOLD ON THERE. in a minute...

darkriderz: your trash talking ganster ridin black cars is a huge stereotype. that would really stand out in a negative way. i was thinking to have that apply to only one of the 3 characters, MeM suggested in his profile that he would be a taunter, 2+2=:)

ALL the character profile sheets are almost done.
they will be posted here for review in a couple days. following that will be timeline order and the HIT LIST of what races take place/who should win.

Cause when this manga gets as big as Initial D, my friends arent gonna say "yeah I bet you gave them the idea for that character"
