So I never drifted before and I want to try and learn how to do it. How do you exactly drift? Do you just handbreak and turn at a corner or do you accelerate and turn to a corner? THanks

Google drift bible and watch that video. There is more good info in there then I could type out on my phone.

That said, I do a lot of interia drifting.

I usually don't use handbrakes, just worthless tires and a good setup do the trick :D I only have to turn into the corner and than steer against the direction at certain moments.

Yeah drift bible is the vid to check out. Keep practicing until you master each technique one at a time. Then as you get better you will naturally begin to combine them instinctively. Takes alot of practice though (and fast reflexes)...these guys around here didn't get good overnight.

What I highly suggest is watching some people drift on GT5 on youtube, it gives you more of a feel on what to do IMO. You see how and when they take corners and you try do what they do which kind of helped me anyway.

I would also recommend not tuning cars at all, because for me, leaving a car stock and slamming some Comfort: Hard tyres on is better than any 'tune' itself.

This is just my opinion, I genuinely started drifting 2/3 days a go and I'm pretty good (not being big headed).

Definitely would recommend watching people drift though, as it helped me so much.

yup drift bible and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE :sly:

i usually brake then slam on the gas while turning(braking drift) , maintaining a drift is the hardest part where you must counter steer at the right moment. Good luck though and enjoy ;D
