Drifting Sideways and not crashing ????

little story of me :
Been playing Grip style forever .. start playing Drift few days ago since I found this site ...

I've been Praticeing with Swift's MX5 demo setting car .. and I just can drift what Swift show in the video ...

I've been reading about how should a Drift car should set , how to control it .. and many many posts .. but .. I just can't Figure how people can drift sideways and able to pull the turn back (saveing it from crashing )

sorry for the bad grammer .. I'm not a native english speaker

when my car start to drift sideways .. I know I'll crash .. but in videos .. they won't ... :scared:

is it the setting ? tires ? really freak me out with the video :sick:
 
It's the same mysterie for me as it is for you, onl thing is I CAN exit drifts. But I dont know how on earth I do it. Lemme watch a replay of myself lol.

Edit: Well ok when I drift, I need to balance the car so that when sideways, it doesn't go any more sideways or any less. I do that like this: my countersteering balances my throttle and my throttle balances my countersteer. Or better:
-You have countersteer to prevent a spin while giving throttle,
-Your throttle makes sure your countersteer doesn't give you a snap back.

Now when I exit a drift I need to unbalance those to get understeer so I let off the throttle while countersteering and then when I see a tiny movement towards the outside of the corner you have to tap the gas again. Otherwise you will have snap back. So when the snap back comes, give a little throttle again and it wont spin out and your car will have decreased enough angle for you to just get out of the drift/corner.

Edit 2: Watch some videos for that, because explaining is really hard and theres a high chance that you'll still do it wrong after reading this. Also, the exit of a drift is really fast (at least for me) I have to let go of the throttle for one second or half a second and then I will have straightened out already and will get my power back on. So if you are going to watch a video make sure that you watch closely, cause the exit is made in no-time.

When the car oversteer or understeer,i just balance with the throttle and countersteer.
 
have u tried upshifting after the drift? when u upshift during a drift, it results in a sudden surge of grip putting an end to the drift. im not sure how accurate i am about saying this but its worth a shot.

First of all .. Thanks for replying me

What I mean is , I saw a Video on google video page with a Skyline Drifting
he Drift like Crazy ... 360 Drifts ... Car rear face front Drift .. :scared:
but he got the control back after he lost blance of the car ....

well, Mike can do that also and some of the FBI members, i still give them mad props for that but Tri.. he got most of my mad props. 👍👍
 
Don't really worry bout doing 360's before a drift, learn the basic's 👍
