Hey new here, read through a lot of post, getting a feel for the forum tons of cool people here it seems ^^ um...I have a DFGT and a nice setup haven't tried drifting much.

However I came across this guys pretty badass setup while I was looking for an alternative button to map my ebrake, didn't see that on this forum figured someone might find it a fun watch!

Side note: I've found using the paddle shifters with the sequential set to: down (the + sign) = ebrake and up (the - sign) = reverse pretty sweet. Hope it helps anyone

thats a pretty cool set-up he fabricated. Looks like it would add another dynamic to the game and especially drifting. i need to stop being lazy and make a hand-brake set-up for my G25. :)👍

Great setup mate. I've currently got a DFGT(I won it) and a G25. I'd love to do something similar with the DFGT(don't want to fiddle with the G25), except no handbrake, I don't really drift so it is not needed.

Have you got any plans you would mind showing me? I just need to know the basics, how you made the shifter, how do you hook up your sequential shifter so that the Ps3 recognises it? Any tips, even a step-by-step guide if possible:sly:. I'd love to have the shifter in a more real position. Thanks mate.

I don't think vanwavanwa made the shifter. He linked to a YouTube video of someone else's custom shifter and handbrake setup.

No offence but why would you make a new topic about some random dudes handbrake setup? just seems weird to me lol. Also you might have wanted to put this in the proper section there is a drifting section :D

It's simple.

Buy a G25, mount it in front of a display (I recommend my 24" Samsung 2493HM with HDMI input). Add a car seat (any, that you're comfortable in, I got mine from some Nissan I think) and that is it. For extra realism all you need is to add a handbrake. I got mine off some old car, inserted a switch (no. 2 on a photo), so when I pull it, the lever (no. 1 on a photo) lifts and button gives a signal. I ran two wires from it into the "G25 shifter console" and soldered it parallel to a button. So the button works normally and handbrake works as a button, when I pull it.

It's not fancy, but it is proper solid creation and (an that is the main thing) it works!

Handbrake (the spring is there to pull it down and give resistance)

i cant find out how to reconfigure my DFGT to have an external ebrake setup... does anyone know how? i dont care if i have to dismantle the entire wheel! any help?
