At this point I would say it’s prob true collective just doesn’t care. Last year there was @Podger who could fix and get anything up and running. He either doesn’t work there anymore or is doing different stuff. He woukd have fixed all of your problems already. Sad part is he left almost a year ago and collective will not replace him. Maybe they can’t with the knowledge he had. But it’s sad that collective is just not helping anyone. They have sold a lot of units and they just don’t care. I’m sorry guys.

I think I have finally figured out a Drive Hub trick.

* If you are experiencing disconnects mid-race try this! *

When you boot Drive Hub, your wheel MUST be the first thing it detects. I tested this over the last few days and here is what happened to me:

Power on wheel.
Connect Drive Hub and let it boot.
Watch what is displayed on its LED <-- very important

MOST of the time, my wheel is not the first thing detected. For some reason, it's my TH8A shifter, then the wheel, then the pedals. When I get this order, I WILL get a disconnected during a race. It will be the 1st or 2nd race, and I lose wheel and pedals and crash. It always happens on a straight. I can't explain why it happens, but it does in this fashion. Doesn't matter if I am using shifter or paddles.

Now, if the WHEEL is the first thing show on the Drive Hub display, I can race 6 straight races with no issues as I have the last two days. I am sure I could keep going, but I got tired and quit after 6.

* Keep resetting the Drive Hub by pressing P1 until your wheel is the first thing detected *

You may have to do this 2-3 times before the detection order is correct. For me it is always: Wheel>Shifter>Pedals. That's what works 100% of the time.

Hello all.

With the news today that Nascar 25 isn't going to be cross-platform, I've been looking finding a way to make my rig gear compatible with the PS5 and the Drive Hub that I already own. I currently own the Simagic Alpha, DS-8X shifter, and Heusinkveldt Sprint pedals. I know the pedals and shifter are listed as compatible on the site, but has anyone been able to use the Simagic Alpha?

If you scroll back some pages you’ll see my issues with the shifter. You might have better luck as some haven’t had any issues with the shifter.

If the shifter doesn't work then that isn't the worst thing in the world. It will only be for Nascar 25 when it releases. My biggest question I guess is if I can use the Sigma Cortex and Drive Hub at the same time.

The answer to this is likely no. The PS5 only allows one wheel to be connected at once. Since the Sigma Cortex and DriveHub likely can’t communicate with each other, you’d have to use one or the other as both would register a wheel (even if you don’t have wheels connected to both).

Thank you for that. I know there is a way, but it requires a PC and GIMX. Here is a video of someone doing it .

I was just hoping for a way around that, or that I could plug the Cortex into the drive hub since the cortex converts the Simagic to simulate another base.

If I have to connect a PC to my Xbox or PS5 to use my equipment, I'd rather just sell the consoles and go PC at that point.

Has anyone used the OpenFFB force feedback steering wheel? I did one and now use a GIMX adapter. I hope it can be directly connected to the drivehub.

what's your wheel dude? what numbers does it show on drivehub's display once it boots up

Have any plans to emulate a CSL DD Pro wheel with the LogiFan mode of the G27/G29 steering wheel, or Logitech ® mode emulate a G Pro wheel?

Hi guys, I created an account just to post this feedback. I have some good news concerning the Simagic DS-8X Shifter.

So I can testify that the DS-8X is working flawlessly for me! I have been using it on GT7 with the Logitech G Pro for a couple of weeks without any issues whatsoever. I always leave it on the H-pattern, never used the sequential mode on GT7.

My setup:
Base PS5 with PSVR2
Logitech G Pro Wheel with Pro Pedals
Simagic DS-8X Shifter with Simagic Tapered Knob
DriveHub

Firmware details:
G Hub Firmware Versions
Pro: 133.6.106
Pro Playstation RIM: 7.0.21
Pro Racing Pedals: 6.1.29
Pro Wheel Drive: 13.3.55

SimPro Manager
DS-8X v1.1.1

DriveHub 2.1.2

It's an awesome shifter and I recommend the Simagic Tapered Knob to reduce the length of the throw a little bit. I also tried the sequential on PC on Dirt Rally 2 and it's fine for me, being able to switch from H pattern to sequential quickly is really great.

Pro Wheel is plugged in the DriveHub controller port and the DS-8X plugged in accessory port. I don't use any powered USB hub.

@tinyman392 concerning your issue shifting into neutral, try a couple of different cars and transmission, I thought I had this issue at first but it was only happening on a specific car and when I changed the transmission of the car, the gear changes were perfect. It seems like there was a delay since it was an old transmission I guess, and with the new one the gear changes were instant. I hope you will be able to find a solution so you can enjoy the great DS-8X.

For anyone on the fence about the DS-8X, go for it, you won't regret it. We are at least two people here with a working DS-8X / DriveHub combo. It's really unfortunate that some people are having issues though, not sure why it's not working for them.

I was testing mainly with an FK8 with the stock transmission. If you use a racing transmission on a car that doesn’t use or clutch (or you never touch the clutch) you’ll not have this issue. I was also able to replicate it with a Focus RS and ND Miata. Again, all stock transmissions. It always happens after the gear has been selected. It isn’t a delay as it is an acting more like a temporary signal cut. It’s as if the shifter reads neutral for a split second before selecting the gear again. But since the clutch wasn’t used for that split second the game treats it as a grind (you can hear the grind noise you’d hear when you missed a shift). Essentially after the shift completed I’d see power going on and the speed increasing before it would grind and send me back to neutral. I should note that none of this happens using the plastic Logitech shifter (with or without DriveHub).

Have you tried your shifter on a PC game to make sure it's not a faulty unit? Also, maybe try another USB cable if you haven't.

Yes. That has been done already at a buddy’s place. The shifter functions normally with other games. I’ve also tried different USB cables.
