Video made by jBhIpS which contains all footage of DRIVECLUB

Driveclub coming exclusively to the PS4, from Evolution Studios

What do you think?

And here's something extra, the developers liked jBhIpS's video and some commented on it
Always nice when the game developers to notice you.
This time for the video "Welcome to DRIVECLUB ™ (Cinematic Footage)" thanked me on Twitter
and in the comments on YouTube + Paul Rustchynsky liked Ferino Design page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/FerinoDesign

The main thing! now I'm the first source for news!
All game footage shown on the PlayStation Meeting 2013 was the official in-game!

This shows that the developers are watching closely what fans do/post, this is a good move and it shows that this game will (I hope) get the support we deserve.

And Whistle Snap found something interesting and posted it in the thread, from the Mercedes-Benz press release:

The car line-up in this pioneering game, which conveys better than ever before the heart and soul of motor racing and the passion it inspires, includes several exceptional sports cars from Mercedes-Benz – first and foremost among them the new CLA 45 AMG and the new A 45 AMG. Both these high-performance vehicles will be celebrating their real-world premiere in March 2013. Driveclub and the new Playstation 4 console will be launching this holiday season.

Playstation 4 is SCEI’s next generation computer entertainment system that redefines rich and immersive gameplay with powerful graphics and speed, intelligent personalisation, deeply integrated social capabilities, and innovative second-screen features. Driveclub is the perfect fit for the lifestyle of the next generation of PlayStation gamers: an exhilarating, visceral and highly socially connected racing experience that showcases the immense capabilities of Playstation 4. Driveclub is a networked game to be played in real clubs, encouraging players to team up and to collaborate and compete with one another while experiencing the thrill of driving the best cars in the world, on the best roads in the world. The audiovisual quality of the cars and the tracks is staggering, and the view from the cockpit is absolutely true to life, immersing the player in every race and recreating the power and the drama that they would feel if they were actually sitting in the driver’s seat.

As well as the CLA 45 AMG and the A 45 AMG, further vehicles with the three-pointed star will join Driveclub.

I love that the cars in this blow even FM4's Autovista cars out of the water. And being able to actually have you character open the doors and stuff... Also implies that there will some extensive character customization, too, as this is a team based game where you can get out of your car, and it'd be weird to have 20 ken dolls standing around.

What I notice :

- Club like in fm4 but pushed to a new level, I'm not really sure how it's gonna work yet, not convince
- Interior view which apparently from the presentation will be the only view is horrible (2/3 of the screen showing the car interior and 1/3 maybe even less show the actual track, how you're supposed to drive that way ?)
-Game does look like a good 1080p racing game but nothing crazy about, the shots of Pcars on this forum are much more impressive for me)

And that's about it, not really impressed by it, but also I wanted Gt6 so my disapointement might not make the most partial judge.

I loved Evolution's Motorstorm games. This one looks interesting, I like the idea of team racing. Looking forward to seeing more of it in the future 👍

I'm not expecting drive club to have "Gran Turismo" level of physics but I hope for something like what the original TDU had. and then some.

The car models didn't look that hot to me considering he was waffling on about the carbon weave and everything. But yeah nothing about the gameplay itself really wowed me, seemed pretty generic for this type of racer.

Looking forward to this; hopefully we get some direct feed video from this event. But we'll probably have to wait....

Also.... little concerned with physics because absolutely nothing was mentioned.

I think it looks great. I love Evolution's previous stuff. It me it looks a lot like a PGR title, and at first I actually thought it was going to be PGR5. Which, would've been fine. I'm not overly concerned about the physics given the Motorstorm titles, but it is a the big question mark in all of it.

People are getting too blinded by GT to see a potentially good game. But, that's alright.

There wasn't enough to see to decide if it's a good game. We saw some car models, some car porn fluff and a very brief glimpse of driving. Nothing to wow anyone there.

I'm hoping it's Sony's answer to Forza Horizon, I'd like that.
I don't think it will be. From what the previews seem to be saying, you're racing on tracks with the option to determine the weather & time of day, giving me the assumption the game is focused on pre-set race tracks all around the world, & not an actual open world like Horizon.

I actually think this game has a bit of a PGR-tone to it, as PGR did have a few attempts at creating the immersion of ownership (the series has had a dealership & several "homes" you could walk around), as well as social interaction. It also focused on racing in several famous locations around the world.

Not sold yet, but it has my curiosity going.

I thought it was more of a Test Drive Unlimited 3, a next fail after 2.
To be honest, I am not convinced of the capabilities of Evolution Studios when it comes to debugging and support. WRC3 on pc doesn't work for me and no patch ever released. I know its pc but still... the noise from others about this studio isn't too good either.

Motorsport was nice though. :)

SMS isn't really Evolution studios though. Everyone has their own ways on developing a game.

Only time will well on whether moving parts will work on cars like the BAC Mono by the time the game finally goes golden.

That was my first thought when I saw this game. The thing that made PGR so fantastic was the combination of absolutely mind-blowing graphics and detail long before anyone else was doing in-car views and walk-around modes with every model. As a spiritual successor, this could do well.

My concerns are thus:

1) How do you differentiate in a racing world that seems to be entirely dominated by Forza? As much as we like to talk about how much GT does right, or how fun NFS can be, the simple truth is that Turn 10 and Playground have really knocked it out of the park with their games... Everyone else is playing catch up.

2) How the hell do you make this feel fun? Incredible detail means nothing if the game isn't fun to play. The social aspects could be cool, but it's been difficult to pull off in a lot of games, Forza included. It's great that I can walk around my cars and show them off, or whatever, but I'm not seeing that hook to make me want to come back time and time again. Forza does that with different modes, weekly challenges, design contests, and whatever else.

3) They trademarked this game nine years ago? So, you mean that it hasn't been good enough for release for nearly a decade? What the hell does that mean when you compare it to everything else on the market?

They can riff on classic tracks all they want, but that doesn't make them an instant success.

Indeed, I wasn't saying it was good or bad. They probably made different design decisions and probably decided to use the calculation power needed for moving parts for something different. Scenery maybe?
