Driver 3 or the grand theft auto series?

Driver started it all but soon after the grand theft auto series took over coming out with many hits including gta:vice city.

In my opinion driver 3 will be a better game than the latest gta has come out with.

driver 3 will outsell all other gta games out right now. Gta:san andreas is coming out soon so a good battle will begin to see which one is better.

Atari has been known for making good games but rockstar is also good.

So which one will be better driver 3 or the grand theft auto series?
 
i reckon GTA will stay the best. I haven't played Driver 3 yet but from what I've heared it's bugged to hell.
 
if you need to ask this quesion, then youve never played driv3r...or any gta games for that matter. Driv3r just doesnt have it. Now where as most people will say this game is the biggest pile of crap theyve ever played, i happen to disagree however. No, this game definently isnt perfect, it many flaws that shouldve been smoothed out for as long as this games been in development....but I really dont think its THAT bad of a game. Most of the missions are fun, and MOST are pretty stress free. The cut scenes are very well done..really makes you feel like youre watching a movie, but overall, the game just doesnt feel very "polished"

as far as comparing to gta games.....there is no comparison. gta is better hands down, in terms of controls, freedom, and just overall gameplay....driv3r is just too linear. there is the "free run" mode, but thats separate from the actual story mode

i know its mostly a matter of opinion on which game is the better game...if you really think driv3r is the better game, then more power to you...but based on all the reviews and comments ive seen/heard for driv3r...i seriously doubt it would outsell both gta games, unless they pulled every single game off the shelf, and even then...itd take driv3r a while just to catch up

I watched someone play Driv3r for about an hour, yes it didn't look particularly impressive. Just get the GTA double pack and be happy.
 
GTA is muuuuch better than Driver3. There's only 2 good Atari games I can think of. Stuntman and the UT series, namely UT2k4.

Grand Theft Auto Series. I played Driv3r, completed it in a day and its just no match for the GTA series - even though i liked the game a lot (looks awesome - way better than any GTA game).
 
I don't like either game series. I bought and played game titles in both series, and I've had enough of both. San Adreas seems like a differnt title than the previous GTA, so I might check it out.

But if you like to shoot people and do cool stuff ...buy GTA:SA

gta is obviously a better game.but i rented driver yesterday and from what i've played its a prety decent game, i dont know why everyone badmouths it.i havent had a glitch that effected the gameplay yet.
 
There is many glicthes but I don't care about them. I still like the game.
I love the police AI too :lol: They are so stupid :)
 
I Can't believe i saw the day where someone tryed to compare driv3r to Gta series my heart has been hurt. Nothing....nothing will ever stand up to gta...ever....never.
 
Being a major fan of the first two Driver titles, I was looking forward to this game ever since the words "Tanner and Jones will return again" popped up during the credits of Driver 2. (it was along those lines anyway)
So naturally I bought it upon release here in Australia and was very excited. I turn it on and take it for a spin in Miami to find the game still retained it's brilliant car physics. Then I jumped out of the car and realised that the on-foot controls were just pathetic.
Anyway, I played through the entire game and had some fun with it but it was definately the disappointment of the year (so far) and wasn't worth the $100 I payed for it. *sigh
 
im sorry to say but GTA is way better than driv3r, how much copies of the gta games have been sold, i think is like second only to the sims or somthing. GTA rocks
 
I played driv3r for an hour today , went to Istanbul in 5 minutes I had a cop car fall from the sky to land on my car, the next glitch was a cop I ran over getting stuck in my hood like he grew there, the next glitch was a pole I hit getting stuck in the middle of the car I was driving sticking it like a fly on a pin, nest problem was extreme slowdown when I was running from the cops to the point that it was unplayable. Next glitch was in the park near the fountain I tried to go up the hill but my guy got stuck like his legs where being eaten by the cement, finally the game froze when I was riding a bike near the walls . This frickin game is trash.
