Driver can't lap cars good

help me im banned
My driver is level 8 and when he laps somebody he hits the person, slows down, hits him again until there's a corner. Is this a B-Spec low level driver mistake? Or does that suppose to happen in a X2010 vs a VW Golf? But even with that car he should lap them...

My bob is lvl 27 and does the same thing but not very often. I think it is because of your low driver level.
 
My level 40 bobs can't even make a pass without rear ending someone, useless pack of virtual idiots...
 
Even when i'm saying he has to overtake, he wants to make baby cars..

But thats a GT5 mistake, i see.
 
My Class 40 Bob driving a Red Bull X2010 stayed behind a Peugeot 206 for 200 meters at the last straight on Tsukuba. He had no other cars around him so he only had to steer out and go passed, but no. Apart from this I like B-spec bobs in races when you dont overkill. It's like following a race on TV, it's really exciting when he does nice overtakes and stuff.

Butchered that one. I think you meant that they cannot lap cars well. Grammar is valued up here.
 
Level 8 drivers were never meant to drive level 35 cars.
Put the driver in a level 23 4WD car turn the brake balance up to 10/10 and they will BUMP DRAFT the opponents instead of bouncing and spinning of oppenents.
Overpowering the oppersition results in messy over taking if they try to over take on the out side they may even spin the X2010 on the grass.
This race were AI were more equal shows http://blip.tv/file/get/GraphiteGB-BspecRace190.m4v = smoother over taking.

I won most of my B-Spec races with equal or almost equal cars to the opposition, (100% total complete) and while sometimes I didn't have enough car, having to much can just kill your Bob.

The best thing you can do to help Bob, is improve the handling of his car (weight, tires, suspension, transmission) without adding power, the game doesn't recognize handling improvements, so they'll think the "limit" is stock, which leaves them more room to make mistakes, which means they can run red hot.
The second thing to do is keep a low driver out of the red, they'll drive like crap, but they won't pass for crap if they're not in the red either. It's a balance.
