Driver names and position above cars

Driver names and position above cars, during a race I find this very distracting, is there a way to disable?

In GT6 this was done in the replay screen, I just cant find an option any more in GTS. I prefer less visuals on the hood but I find this to be the most distracting any guidance would be great thanks.
 
ahh I see, well knowing it is not there is fine, I can stop asking around and looking...

I only have 2 gripes, 1 is the "Driver Names above cars",and 2 is that there's no minimum weight limit filter in online lobbies. Apart from that I'm loving this version.

There is an option to not show driver names, it only works for replays though I think.
 
I though the names were ironic. For example I just got absolutely punted by "racefair" who went on to win the race and had clean sr. I was 4th with dirty sr. This is in S as well. Ouch my patience.

F1 on keyboard when watching replay.
Pretty sure at there was option in menus to take off on racing too.. Wouldn't be surprised if F1 works on races too.
 
I havnt heard that I dont watch many replays. I'll give that a go.... cheers
 
No minimum weight is idiotic. Hope they will add this soon.
 
How would you block a Alfa 4C in N200 in open lobby if you cannot chose minimum weight ? Or create a Ford Raptor race if you cannot choose min 2400kg ?

Just make it possible to chose a cup race with one-make-car. That would solve the issue.
 
Guys, I just stumbled upon a workaround to this!

Go into "Race Photos" & then straight back out again. The PSN names above cars are now gone. Simples!

It only works in replays as far as I know. I don't race online, sorry.

It's useful for people who don't own keyboards & who want to watch replays without the PSN names hovering above the cars. It also fixes the bug where the telemetry doesn't display when watching a replay (which is caused by having it set to off when driving).

This is annoying as hell in the LH Challenge. If you are right in front of him, his name and flag announce his arrival in extra large letters before you even see his car.
 
It's cartoonish and comically large. Something smaller and more simple would be better.

We already have the drivers names listed in the HUD, so we don't even need a second load of drivers names hovering above cars IMHO. They created the exact same problem in GT6 but did fix it via an update. No such luck so far with GT Sport...

You can get rid of driver's name above car by being 1st, it bothers me that names can't be seen of cars behind me. If on short track you don't know if car behind you are about to lap you or gain spot. If trying to gain spot I'd try to keep them behind me, if getting lapped I need to let him by instead of holding him up.
