Driver names Mazda 787B

I was looking at the Mazda 787B yesterday and the real driver names arent on the 787B

These are the names that are on the car:
P Behrens
R Rogers
J Nouvel

And it should be:
Volker Weidler
Johnny Herbert
Bertrand Gachot

Somebody knows why this is?

There was more than one car, and the one in the game is not necessarily meant to be the one driven by those three drivers. I can't find any reference to those names, so it's likely that they're just made up by PD, probably for licensing reasons.

Probably they don't have the license for the driver names.

Those are all AI drivers in the game....

I don't think you need licenses for people's names. Names of humans aren't trademarked. I'm no lawyer, but I wouldn't think this is the issue.

Why it is not reading as the true LeMans participants... unknown. But that's a shame, because the detail on the 787b otherwise is outstanding. Also a shame because I've met and talked to J. Herbert about the 787b a few years back. Like you Ernst... I'm guessing we're both rotary fans. And I'm pleased to report, he was an absolute gentleman and a pleasure to talk to.
