the guys who already have the game, what do you think?

i might buy it next week if i have enough money

i am currently playing GTA SA and DTM3/TRD3, so i am not sure since i have some time to go with these games, but if its really cool i will buy it a.s.a.p..

i've always liked the driver series so far

It's a nice enough game, but I think maybe a small step backwards from Driver 3. The damage model seems no-where near its predecessor, and the tuning isn't great.

Also, has anyone else noticed anything wrong twith top speeds?

My Zenda Race car (4.5, 5, 5 for stats) with Nitrous on maxes out at 136mph.

Pretty odd, huh?

The NFS:U-esque nitrous flames and blur aren't totally convincing.

Finished it last week.

The ending was pretty weak and it seemed like a really short game.

Driver Parallel Lines sucks. I went back to the store the day after I bought the game, and I came up with a stroy why I wanted my money back -Done!

Fun for 2 hours...

I started playing it yesterday and I'm enjoying the game so far. Very GTA-like, but that's not a bad thing really. The graphics are better than San Andreas, there's no streaming or slowdown problems, the streets are full of vehicles (a bit too much at times), the cut-scenes are good and they did a good job with NY apparently. Way better than Driv3r in my opinion.

What I didn't like about the game so far were the lack of control customization, the driving phisics could be a little better and the music doesn't catch my attention.

I'll give it an 8.5 for now.

How long exactly til' you're jailed?

I'm kinda hating the '78 New York and want to see the modern one.

It was this or True Crime: New York. I just wanted a game with New York and cars and these were it.

I think I should have gone with TC though. People told it's a lot funner.

Not that long really, store a few cars you like from the 78 NY because you keep them in the modern one. You do a mission where you kidnap this guy, the mission name is somewhere in this thread and you go to jail after that, and come out on the hunt for the people that set you up.

You kill "The Mexican" in the first mission after arriving in 2006.

Where is the destruction derby and online mode? For the life of me I can't find them. (I'm using a PS2, if that helps.)

The Destruction Derby is right in the Bronx, I think it's a tiny bit north of the B on the map, theres a hadged off field with an opeing near on of the corners, you drive in and you come to a field and drive into the icon in the middle of it, cue car's crashing, theres 10 car's in the derby but you never seem to see more than 5 or 6 at once, one get's desstroyed and another come's on untl all 10 are gone.

Can't rmember, it's just a field with a kind or track onthe outside and in the middle of the field theres a mission icon that starts the Destruction derby. If anyone has a photo or pic of the driver 4 map I can pin point exactley where it is.

Yeah, its at the baseball field, except it can only be accessed in the 1978 era. In the 2006 era, its a baseball field, but at the same place in 1978, its a dirt track. That's why I couldn't find it at first.

P.S. Try the destruction derby with a Negotiator. I won and I got a perfect driver bonus.
