I loved Driver 1 and 2, but Driver 3 sucked! I hope "going back to gameplay roots" means that they put Driver 2 physics back and fixed the retarded aiming procedures where a tap in a bar could stop a bullit from hitting the mark, or just the imaginary wall where the tap once was!! How could a ketchup bottle stop a bullit anyways??

I wasn't questioning you if thats what you thought :) I merely distrust magazines that often talk rubbish and make things up (particually console mags).
I don't read console mags often so.... :dopey:
I want all that information to be confirmed soon ;)

Cops 'n' Robbers online would be great :D And a mention of PC, phew.

Certaintly was in GTA : Multi Theft Auto, atleast until the game crashed :guilty:

I actually kind of liked Driv3r. Looks like Im the only one. I do admit that the on foot gameplay was nothing short of atrocious. Free roam mode has the best replay value out of everything in the game as some of the missions are just plain frustrating because of awful on foot controls. Nice to hear the next one should be better.

Well its released today in the UK I think. I might go check out my local Tesco and see if they have it in stock yet.

Screw what gamespot says, I'll make up my own mind. Just bought it today from Tesco, was surprised they had it on release day. (EU)

Upon reading the manual the game sounds good, upgrading of vehicles and the different types of missions sound good. There is one thing I hope it does.... from the older Driver games, especially the first, I remember the car chases were awesome. Especially in San Fran in the first game, jumping off the hills with cops in chase was awesome. Now Parallel Lines is set in New York but I hope it has a good cop chase engine. lol

Played abit of the game, and I really like it. Some strategicly placed ramps and jumps that are fun!

It's pretty good, I've only just started playing it, graphics arn't super but initial impresions are it's pretty good. I can't work out how to change the controls though, minor nit pick of mine, if I play a game with a pad I prefer to steer the cars with the d-pad not the stick, but I had to use the stick in GTA as well.

The stick is more accurate, but pause the game, and use the left right d-pad buttons to cycle through menus. I dunno if you can change it to use the d-pad for steering though.

The stick has a longer travel of movement, it's not more accurate than the d-pad though. Which you use is 100% personal preferrence. I can't change any of the controls though, all I can do is invert the controls to look up and down or not. Anyway, I'm not disliking the game for the controls, the car's handle like you'd expect, the traffic can get quite heavy and so far I've not noticed a sinlge bit of slowdown exept when I use the thrill cam which is meant to slow it down. I've got to get $1500 for Ray at the moment, I need $500 more.

It was only released today?

I bought it this afternoon - an impulse buy after a wander into Game - and initially wasn't that impressed, but I think it'll grow on me. The test tracks are great.

i played the game in my local game shop and i got this guys car (in 1970's) and took it to a garage, and it looked like you could tune the cars, it that true?

Is it true that Zsolt is an unlockable character?

And he has a missile launcher for a head?

Some car can have as many as 5 different body kit's, but some cars can't have any. I think when you get into the second half of the game there's more cars that can take bodykit's than in the first half of the game.

Are there any little hatchbacks?

I loved them in Driv3r.Such fun to chuck about.

I've seen some small cars, at the moment I'm still in the 70's, I don't know what cars are in 2006 but they are different.
