Drivetrain upgrades can not degrade performance?

Are there any cars were the various combinations of upgrades result in a degradation of the car's performance, by installing any of the Drivetrain upgrades (clutch plates, flywheel, etc..)

Exclude the LSD, as it's setting might make your car worse (which would be User Error)... UNLESS the same setting as the default LSD is NOT the same effect..

Those upgrades all make the car rev easier and shift faster. I can't think of why it would make a car worse in game. Reality is another story.

If you put EVERYTHING in a Mercury Cougar you could consider it ruined. The car developes a noticeable pause while building up revs. I never experienced that with any other car so far.
