Driving aids question.

Hi to all who have the game.

As we know driving aids are not limited when playing online so.

I was wondering if some of you quick guys ( you know who you are ) could run some test laps with aids on/off.

I would really like to know if aids make you quicker or if no aids can produce the fastest lap.

It is a rather forgiving game so any aids will just lessen the fun. :) I'd want to help you but is too busy enjoying the races.

+1. I can see no way for aids to be of any help in this game unless you're running a HUGE turbo or something. I can barely get the rear end of a Mercedes Benz SLR/722/Stirling Moss loose in 2nd gear out of a corner without being very very recklless.

Whilst I might agree with you the question still remains.

I suppose people need to get the monster cars out before it can be proved otherwise.

You might think running with aids is no benifit.

I can assure you if you gain 1 second a lap, many will use it online, that's just the way it is nowadays.
 
I dunno how much competitive racing there will be online though, i feel the atmosphere of the game seem to be more casual, if people are just looking for some dicing online there's no need to drive to the absolute limit.
 
It will become obvious once people start seriously challenging for leaderboard times.

In Shift 1 On Hard driving style you were faster than on Pro driving style, with no Aids offcourse, so yes i would say that TS, SC will only make matter worse. Same thing would be in Shift 2 i guess because it's the same game
 
Some people is faster with aides on.i use no aides because in drag racing and racing,I think using those is cheating.

Aids that are REAL are legit. I once own a car that had TCS that went on the frits & never worked right. :lol: TCS & ASM actually hurt you because they limit power.
 
if you can handle it, no aids is faster (maybe not in the wet), if you cant, aids are quicker. Not sure about active steering.

Active steering doesn't make a difference since I'm using a wheel.it just make the steering tighter and snappier to turn
