Just got my Gran Turismo 5 up with a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. Problem is I'm having trouble with the steering, it wants to turn by it self. I have to fight the wheel to turn. Is this a set up issue?

The wheel has force feedback to simulate the feel of a real steering wheel travelling at speed, over bumps etc. It is normal for the wheel to move by itself if your not holding it steady. If you're having trouble holding it straight, the force feedback setting maybe too high. Adjust this until you;re comfortable with it. I have mine set to 6 and for most cars this is not too strong but gives a great feel of how the tyres and the cars weight is behaving. Of coure, this may not be your problem. If it isn't then i'd suggest you have a faulty wheel and you should return it asap. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the relpy. Changing the setting does nothing, same feel. It takes 2 hands on the wheel to control it sometimes. Giving Logitech a call today.

you have to turn the Power Assist ON in the wheel settings.
Otherwise you have to fight with the wheel all the time, very tirring after a few laps.

It IS supposed to feel like that. Sure, you can tone down the Force Feedback a bit, but I believe once you get used to it(which takes not long at all), you will not be able to play without it.

First time I used my DFGT on prologue, I set the Force Feedback strength to 10.. First drive with on the HSR, I couldn't believe how tough it was to turn even at speeds of only 60-80mph. So, I went down to 7. Now, I drive it on full FFB regardless of the game, as that is just what feels natural. There is nothing wrong with your wheel.
