Do you guys find that it's almost mandatory to drive the cars with splitters and wing? I want to put on a body kit but it gives so little down force that I couldn't drive without the adjustable ones.

It also seems like I like to set the down force for front and rear to pretty high.

I almost always used them in Forza 2 when setting up a car for racing. I don't really worry about it too much if I'm using the car for drifting.

Sad but true. For a circuit car above... probably B class, you want the Forza aero. Below that the bling kits can be useful, but once you get to some high speed cornering, you really need proper race equipment. Especially if you're a high-downforce driver as you said (I am too). What sucks is that some cars can't fit it for whatever reason. I didn't seem to be able to equip the race aero onto a Pontiac Trans Am.

I didn't drift much on forza 2 and I am not the greatest painter so I don't tune cars for looks. I always used the wing and splitter for maximum cornering abilities.

I try to not use downforce...but i usually have it pretty high when i do, especially on my 22B STi.

I found it practically mandatory on the Ford GT.

So far it is the only car I have put it on, but I'm not that far along with A, B, and S cars so it may become frequently necessary.
