Be careful IF the open diff will let you there is scary out of control situation that can happen when an open diff gets both tires loose, it's called torque steer, way worse than fish tailing.

What happens is you have say the rear end kicked out to right and if some chassis load transfers to the right rear tire it will slow it down dramatically while the left one speeds up a bunch causing the car to just walk right out of the drift and point you the other direction, then it decides to go the other direction and over and over as it changes the rear tire speeds and chassis load side to side.... Ends up being an out of control pedaling the throttle spinning the steering wheel to death to try and save it. been there....done that and smacked a huge tree as big as my falcon....fender, hood, grill, bumper and pride :crazy:

Thanks for the help but after taking race driving lessons and drifting for two years, I think I got this. 👍

Really? I wouldn't call that owned at all. He just said he has experience and that's fine. What I said wasn't shown to be untrue. It's nasty and highly out of control when it happens.

I had lots of experience when it bit me too. just trying to watch out for others because I didn't know about it and nobody had told me about what can happen when torque steer occurs....I had been sideways a LOT with posi and locker cars and had NO PROBLEMS at all, but this one day it showed how quick this can happen with an open diff with both rear tires loose.

After the fact all these stories popped up of this happening, my coworker told me about it happening to him in the 70's in his mustang, whipped him so violent he hit a tree backwards, snapped the seat back on impact and was in the hospital for a week from the injuries.

haha alright :lol: Thanks 👍 and yeah I hate the pixels too. they ruin the whole picture :guilty: PD should fix this imo

They need to fix the incar wheel rotation to 1:1 for 900 degrees wheels :grumpy:. 👍 and yeah lets not go off topic :sly:
 
I was on but no one else was on, so i ended up getting off and started watching. I am uploading a video right now of a 240sx drifting in the rain. You should all go to the Drop5 youtube account and check it out.

I cant post the link because of its illegal activities so you guys will just have to find it. 👍
