After using search I was greeted with endless Pad vs Wheel threads :indiff: so I'll try here.

My DS3 doesn't seem to like GT5 anymore. I'll explain.......

I'm done with a-spec for a while and I'm moving on to b-spec. So, I no longer need to use my wheel. I've disconnected the wheel, fired up the game on the DS3 but the pad stops working once GT5 starts.

I've set the wheel back up, looked through hardware options, menu and other settings but I can't seem to find a solution.

Am I been terribly stupid here? Please feel free to hurl abuse if am.

GT5 only works with controller slot 1,unless another slot is being used for 2-player arcade mode. Could that be the issue?

Looked like a good idea, but I'm afraid it hasn't worked. It must be something simple. :)

I was looking forward to lying down and relaxing while playing some b-spec. Being slumped over my wheel is watching my b-spec guy smash my car up isn't good.

Does the DS3 work fine elsewhere? ex. XMB, other games, etc.

Your DS3 could be:
a) broken
b) not connecting to your PS3(the bad part of bringing a DS3 to a friends house)

Or, your GT5 disc might be slightly broken.

Remove the wheel cable, restart gt5, sync the controller, make sure it synced to the No. 1 position, play. Works on my console at least...

Yeah try remove and unplug the wheel before turning the ps3 on, if that doesnt work try it when it is on.

Unplug wheel, hold in ps button on ds3. Go to contoller settings, and reassign controller to spot number 1. I think I got that right?
