god you people talk some S***........ so if someone prefers not to disclose their T-times so what..... ive chosen not to show mine as i know that they wont be my best times.... as there is a lot of time to go, also when people dont disclose times it creates the whole suspense and anticipation of just how well you have done

I don't think I mentioned anything about the lack of T-Times from drivers :odd:
 
Ive done my races, il post up T times later...when i can find a pen! :dopey:
 
I haven't actually had any time to hit the tracks at all this week, hence the lack of any chat on my part :O. Also, my T-times would probably be misleading as I have a bad habit of dropping off the pace in the last part of the lap ... don't ask me why but it's true, it's as if I wind down after the last split of the lap is flashed up :(.

On the subject matter of some of the above, if people are going to cheat in OLR then they will. There is, however, a little that you can do to hold the worst excesses in check, which is what replay validation is all about.

Those drivers with some experience in OLR will already know this but, particularly in a series where validation will be asked for if necessary, keeping you replays until a reasonable time after the race results are posted is very much recommended. Plus, it is the height of kudos to be asked for your replay - it's a sign that you did very well indeed :D.
 
Sofar not a clean enough replay to post T-times, but I do want to talk about replay verification.
I know some of the racers in the DTM series have a replay device and I want to suggest that we all use it.
Last or first place,doesn't matter to me.
In short,put your money where your mouth is.:D
Let's prevent that we have to ask for a replay because we wanna learn from it.
In plain OLR language it means mostly we think the time is bogus.
Naturally when the replay fits the rules appie made,lots of kuddo's will be given.

I always loved this kind of discussions(Cyril will be pleased that I'm not in the WRS for some time.;) ) so all in favor ,raise their hands.

I don't know as I'd go as far as to say that people think the time is bogus when they ask for a replay but I do concur that sometimes it can be taken as a sign of suspicion. However, when I ask for a replay it can mean both things i.e. I want to see with my own eyes that the run was good but also I want to see what that driver was doing that I wasn't.

Anyhow, I've had a couple of runs at Race 1 now (the Sprint) and got the following:

Lap 1 T1 17.173 T2 32.506
Lap 2 T1 11.843 T2 26.635
Lap 3 T1 11.778 T2 26.590
Lap 4 T1 11.872 T2 26.887
Lap 5 T1 11.663 T2 26.510

All I can say from time-posts by other drivers is that I'm obviously missing something here - either it's the car or it's the driver :D. I'm comfortable with my lines, braking points, acceleration points etc ... they just must not be the right ones :)!

I'm tootling around in the Mercedes-Benz D2 - nice handling car that I've always liked through the GT series and it's GT4 incarnation seems to be competatively paced too (it was a bit slow compared to it's compatriots in previous games),
 
yes i agree with the submissions but i know some people (ie. ME!) do not have the sort of funds to be spending on a Replay device... so if the situation arrises, what is going to happen?

A screenshot of the final time would be a start i guess. Likewise sending an old memory card to someone if its available to do then that can also be done..
 
I got my MaxDrive from play-asia.com for 37$ Including postage.

ls, I don't know what the price of replay devices is in Australia but they're dirt cheap over here (less than a memory card) and I wouldn't expect there to be a huge disparity in cost. It's worth your looking into if you're serious about OLR.

its not sold over south america, so i was very lucky to have a friend who went to new york...

really hard to find that kind of device here... just don´t know why...
so, if you live in a country like mine, and you don´t have a international card to buy overseas (like me) then you only get a max drive out of luck... i hope that changes some day...

I know im not in the series but i also got a maxdrive from playaisa and im very happy with them.

$37 isnt much money at all

I should have one for WRS anyway i guess, but it might not be here for this week..

Nothing will happen.
Sofar I know it is no obligation to submit a replay.
