Are there any setup changes for the A4 Touring car?

Look at week 4's thread, there are some Hp adjustments there.

Think it's +1 Hp & -7 weght for the A4, but don't quote me on it!

Neil

That's correct Neil, +1, -7 on the A4 and -1, -7 on the TT

Hey you two 👍

Very impressed with your results with the TT  during the first part of the season. The thing is a bit different... we'll see how it and I get along in the next, what ? 8 races ? gulp :scared:

Did better on the qual run than I thought I would :) ... shaved a bit more.
The race.... grrr... I've only tried a couple of times and have been forced pitted all of them !

off for a bit of a magarita

That last chicane got to you didn't it? You just have to take it easy around there I only took it at 90MPH max (~150km/h).

Attack that final chicane with everything you got, it can be taken flat with any one of these cars, easy!

Yep,that's right. My speed at the curbing is about 180-185 km/h and it gives speed more than 220 at the finish line. This car...is...hmmm...a little bit difficult to drive...needs the drive a different approaching...but I like it.It has great roaring sound.
Well George,I sent my times. We will see.

My times are in, gave the race a good shot, had a couple slowish laps though through lazy mistakes, but am satisfied with my time. Gave qualifying my best shot, I am gunning for the Pole here on one of my favorite tracks :sly: I will be VERY interested to see the results of the TT cars compared to the Astras this week.

Could someone just confirm to me the exact deadline please?
Don't want to miss it again!

I'm enjoying the TT on this track too - as for the final chicane, I'd try not to take too much kerb on the exit as it's fairly high and tends to destablise the car.

Anyway, hoping for a decent showing on my first appearance!

So am I east, and I think the AudiTT's will do as good or better this week...just my prediction. The Astra handles much differently then the AWD TT, but I'm starting to get the feel for it. It's nice to change cars, but there is a learning curve for all of us.

Times submitted, gotta admit I ran the main race a total of 6 times and probably 25 laps for quali. Needed to get the feel for the car and change some of my old (bad habits) braking points.

:banghead: :banghead: I can't remember how many times I ran the race Friday morning, only to be forced into the pits on lap 9 or 10... WTF !!!!

Still getting use to the TT, fresh tires = ice skates :grumpy:

I put some real work into my qual this week, and have a feeling for the rythum of this course.... now if I could just finish a race :dunce:

tick, tick,,, tick

J.R.

Time submitted
Starting to get a better feel for this car. We'll see how it stacks up with the rest of you guys.

Shaved another .15 off the qual time
Knocked 3 sec's off the race
Laz ? - you got me on the race, but not by much this week 👍
If I remember right, around a second or so.

J.R.

Results Posted, some very, very close racing out there, Round 10 up soon.

Well done all! 👍

Especially CCX, Drew and George!

Nice close racing, as George says.

Neil

 Well done to the top 3
Pretty close all around

George ? ... Is it my cologne ?
Seems once again I've lost a point .... round 8 shows me at 9 ... now I'm at 8? .... I can live with not getting a point (sort of) .... but losing points ?

Laz, partner - sorry about not being able to get into the points this week. I thought I was pretty quick - sigh

J.R.

Sorry, Oldphart, it can get confusing sometimes, if it ever happens, just tell me and I'll put them to what they should be.

Sorry again.

Yay, got me the pole, but damn, you guys sure know how to make the car go quick over long distances!

CCX, thats a pretty great race time considering your Qualifying time was a 1'44!?

Great qualifying lap east! 👍

Congrats to all the top boys too 👍

Really sorry I missed the deadline again. Could've sworn it said 9th oct, and assumed it was always a week from the last one. Anyway, no excuses. Sorry east...
(Had a 1'21.660 qualifier but had yet to complete a full race)

You're correct there east, I didn't really notice till you mentioned it. But CCX would have had to average (taking the pit into consideration) 1'25.8 seconds a lap which is 18 seconds a lap faster then the Quali run. Something not's right here CCX, better go recheck both times cause one of them can't be correct. If you ran every lap as fast as your Quali you'd have a time of 19'00.00 and thats without a pit, so about 19'30.000 with pit. Good eye east!

Yes, I'll PM CCX, there must be a typo somewhere.

Edit - CCX has replied, the results are diffrent, Drew22 wins! :).

Ahem!

Drew22 - 17'48.680
George Morley - 17'51.735
Ballstothewall - 17'56.916
CCX - 17'52.966
GTXDriver - 17'59.348
east - 17'59.792
Oldphart - 18'00.991
TS - 19'36.025

Don't you mean....

Drew22 - 17'48.680
George Morley - 17'51.735
CCX - 17'52.966
Ballstothewall - 17'56.916
GTXDriver - 17'59.348
east - 17'59.792
Oldphart - 18'00.991
TS - 19'36.025

I know that's demoting myself there!

But fair's, fair.

Mind you that still works out to an average lap of 1'25.663833333 (approximately), with a quali lap of 1'46.xxx (No, wait, is that another typo in the quali time too?), a 1'32.998 instead!

That's 7.334 seconds faster per lap, in the race, with harder tyres, than his qualifying time using RSS's!

Impressive!

but insignificant, when compaired to the POW'er.....etc,etc! ;)

Neil

Actually Neil his revised quali is 1'32.998.But the math still doesn't add up!!! He still would have had to average 1'26.000 a lap for 12 laps, 7 seconds a lap faster then his Quali. And these are his REVISED times. There is still something smelly!!!

Oh yeah, east, super impressive quali there my friend in the Audi, my hat's off to you, seriously...well done. You must have had more trouble with traffic then I did in the main, cause looking at the quali times it's not the car or you.

^^ Yup, got that!

Posted corrections at the same time as your post! :scared: Psychic :sly:

And I agree that that is one impressive quali lap from you East! Nice one!

I think the trick to a fast race, is the method used for dealing with the AI and getting just that extra 1/2-3/4's of a lap out of the tyres before they go deep-orange and the car won't turn.
98% for 5 & 3/4 laps is less lost than 100% for 5 and 15 seconds lost on the 6th.

Neil

:guilty: Sorry George
I don't mean any disrespect

Just chalk it up to being grumpy about another week without scoring any points:ouch:

I'm busting my butt and not getting anywhere. At least in JGTC I was scoring something. I just feelt hat I'm letting my partner down. Something us spec warfare guys just don't take easily.

So I didn't mean to come off wrong. I do appreciate the work entailed with running one of these things. Just go ask Eat's over in JGTC.

J.R.
