George W. Bush is invited into a classroom where the students and teachers are discussing the meanings of words. Bush is asked to lead a discussion on the word "tragedy".
One young boy puts his hand up: "Sir, if my friend was playing in the street and a car ran him over, that would be a tragedy". "No son", Bush says, "that would be an accident".
A little girl puts her hand up: "If a bus carrying 20 people drove over a cliff, that would be a tragedy". "Fraid not, Missy", explains Dubya, "that would be a great loss".
After an embarassingly long silence, a boy at the back of the class puts his hand up: "Mista Bush, sir, if Air Force One, carrying you and Missus Bush was shot down by terrorists, that'd be a tragedy".
"Excellent!", says Bushy Boy. "And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?"
"Well", says the boy, "it wouldn't be an accident and it would certainly be no great loss".
