Is it allowed to have a modified savegame? Or could I get banned for having one? Just wondering, kinda tired of racing and just want to mod some cars to have fun. Also, PLEASE don't rage on me just because I don't want to spend 40h in front of my videogame.

Edit¹: I saw the savedata question on the FAQ, but that didn't answered my question, before someone tells me to take a look at it, thanks.
 
If your using it for Offline use. You are fine. Adding cash wont matter. But if you have like modded cars using them in public lobbies, or TT thats a good way to get Banned ;)

I dont think so.. PD sells "in game money" for real money,that's part of their business. Modding/hacking "in game money" means you are stealing,so yes,that's a huge problem. Be carefull. Bigger part of us don't support anyone to mod or hack a game in anyways.

PD cant check what money values you have in your save, how much money you have.... So that makes generally no sense. Its your Save, you can do whatever you want to do with it. But as i said bring hybrids into online rooms youll get reported probably, or use them in Time Trials which is ban from the servers ;)

Technically,the save's not yours,it's a file created by his their software,so it's part of the game files. It's not supposed to be edited in anyways,they never said that you can do "whatever you want" with it in the official FAQ. Even if they can't see how much money you have,hacking or modding any part of their software is totally unacceptable and they will take their actions if they find out anyone doing this.

On the "other" site, I'm pretty sure people said they were getting banned over moddified cars but not from giving themselves unlimited cash. If you're not going to be going online anymore then there is little point to signing in to the PSN, therefore PD will never see your data anyway.
 
Whatever you mod or hack in an the game,it doesnt matters at all. Modify any part of the GT software is ilegal and not allowed by PD. There's nothing to discuss about this question.
 
Wait a second I haven't been visiting the other site since GT5. Is it now as easy as downloading a program and getting all the money I want? (no decrypting or her editing?) @FarSideX
