Ok I set up this thread to see just how stupid some people are. Tell what the dumbest/stupidest/or most questionable things that you have seen on GTP or Gran Turismo.

GTP - People who say the Audi R8, Pesky's, Toyota Minolta, TS020 (Toyota GT-One), or the BMW V12 LMR are the worst cars in the game:crazy: . How could you be more wrong.:confused: I mean people can have opinions:tup: , but you really can't change a fact:dunce: . A Daihatsu will NEVER beat an Audi R8 in any race. Period.

GT4 - The A.I. at its lowest points. A 4 or 5 car pile up? By a computer? What is that, I mean PD can do better than that.:ouch: And the spinouts. You can't forget the spinouts.
 
On GTP, I wouldn't really say dumbest, just really misinformed, or not doing enough research, which lately is the SSC Thread.

Been here for all of gt4 ;) and I've never really seen someone say those particular cars were the worst in GT4. Only at most complaints about certain ones and their distiinct characteristics.

As for GT4, I don't play with the AI very well. :rolleyes: :lol:
 
Well, I haven't run any GT4 enduros, but in GT3 at the Laguna Seca enduro, the CLK Touring Car spun out at the last turn on each and every lap. He ended up like 13 aps down.

Laguna was a trouble course and still is hard for the ai to navigate.
Still in GT4, b-spec barely handles it at anything faster than 1. :rolleyes:

My guess for the ai weakness at times...
PD underestimates us. :grumpy:

They don't think we could win and/ or enjoy the game with a crowd that all ran as "the one" does (since there is always "one" ai runner to keep it clean in series like the FGT).

Even so, that One isn't enough to keep up with human hands. It can be forced into mistakes or passed after a pattern is learned. :trouble:
That's just the nature of Gran Turismo. :)
 
Dumbest thing on GT4: On the Alimafi (spelling) race, in special conditions, second from top. I was in my stock MR2 agaisnt a Renault Turbo and on the first lap, the Renault got stuck in the last corner, reverse... hit wall....reverse... hit wall....reverse....etc,etc. This was on the hard (5Laps) and i won by 4laps :)

On GTP: I can't say ive seen anything stupid, exept someone saying something awesome in Mission 1 help about not being able to pass it because he checks his mirror every 3-5seconds. Stays well beneath the speed limit, and stays on the right side of the road!

My personal dumbest thing: PD expecting a driver like me to pass the Chamonix snow rally test.

Overall dumbest thing: AIs!!!!!!!

GTP: Those who claim R8 and Minolta, etc dont handle or stop.

The dumbest thing I have seen on GT4 -- anywhere and everywhere the label "The Real Driving Simulator" appears. :dopey:

The dumbest thing I have seen on GTP -- I dunno, there are a lot of dumb comments/questions made all the time...but that isn't really a rip on GTP, it's just how the world is. :indiff:
 
There's nothing I'd consider to be dumb in GT4, so I'll just move on to GTP.

The dumbest thing I've seen (and still do) is new members coming here, who ...
  • ignore the seach function completely or use it falsely and then say they didn't find anything
  • ask the "I can't enter the extreme hall"-question as a direct result of not using the search
  • open a bunch of new threads on their tiny little problems that didn't even need asking, cause some thinking or just testing it in the game would have brought up the answer immediately
  • get pi**ed at people that are only telling them how to behave correctly
  • post their opinion about whatever in some old thread noone really cared about in the first place
  • double, triple and quadruple post all the time
Yeah, I think that's pretty much it. I know that these things belong to a forum, and you can't really do much about it, but it annoys me anyway.

All I have to say is I agree with this comment. Granted, I was almost guilty but I don't have access to a pc or net during the week at home except at work, but I'm not allowed to sign into the forum using my work pc's :grumpy: :yuck: ...I just browse the threads and forum reading and enjoying the pics

The dumbest / silliest / funniest thing I've seen on GT4 however, is the AI trying to over take me on the Nurburgring, in the grass going down one of the long straights ( not the back straight ) going over 300 KM/ph, now that was funny when he hit an invisible wall after I pushed him/it there :lol: :dunce: :crazy: :dopey: :sly:

-The dumbest thing I've seen on GTP yet is a guy freakin out and stealing a mod account in order to find the truth behind an april fools joke:rolleyes:
-Or seeing a guy delete all his posts on GTP before he got banned because he thought they were so usefull and full of information:dunce:
-Someone requesting a kick for a set amount of time:irked::confused:

Edit: Or the "only-dutch GT4" thread in the GT4 forums over a year ago:lol:

The Ford GT40 does this at Mulsanne corner in the 24hrs race in GT4.

In GT, it would have to be the AI hands down. I've seen them do things drunken goats wouldn't make the mistake of doing.

In GTP i'd have to say the dumbest thing i've seen to date is half the things I post. I mean seriously, even I don't read them, I just cover my eyes and type. :dunce:
 
wow i never expexted to see this many "flaws" in GT or GTP, keep them coming:)

and this is the first forum i started...haha
 
I've seen some dumb things on these boards, mainly due to observatio, or rather a lack of. like before GT4 was out there was this massive car wishlist that was created, it was stated that it was just a wishlist and nothing more, it didn't take long before it was all over this, and other forum's with people claiming it was a real list :lol:. The real dumbest things are when people claim they've done something that's impossible, like people claiming they won a McLaren F1 in GT2 by buying all car's in black, fool's.

In GT4 like so many people said before, it has to be the AI in general, it jsut doesn't react to you, and it messes up in the strangest way's.

In some cars, my B-Spec can do it on 5 no problem at all.

But the GT4 AI has an IQ of 10. They brake instead of pulling out from a slipstream and overtaking. :dunce:
 
im surprised noone has mentioned Bob yet :confused:

i mean he is such an idiot in B-Spec, so why couldn't he be considered dumb and/or stupid??

B-spec isn't that bad if you ask me.

Sure it's not "good" but I wouldn't say it is bad as the plain AI.

Plus, you have some controll over the b-spec and if you don't just leave it on one speed and hope for the best there is a chance you can actually avoid ever going off course.

When I b-spec it rarely ends with an off-track.

Just slow the speed of your b-spec driver down by a bit and everything will come together. 👍
(that's not to say b-spec is great :lol: )

i meant in general because i saw on several forums saying how stupid Bob is and how so many people would rather just A-spec it (myself included) but i just can't do that with school, track, projects and the fact i can only play GT4 on the weekends :dunce: :ouch: 🤬 :banghead: :irked:
