Duplicates or million of driven miles...

Just a quick question that I've been asking myself.

As I'm only level 25 I haven't had the pleasure of driving the X2010 yet, but I've really been wondering how it's possible for so many to have that many X2010 in their garage...? Or any other huge collection of really super expensive cars.

Are they all duplicates? I mean, do people trade and then afterwards reload their save games?

I've only done 6000km in GT5 so maybe I'm just a minor :)...

There are tons of cars I dream about like the X2010 and any Formula 1, but I'm saving up for the FGT at the moment.
 
Alot of people got them from Bspec-Bob while sleeping.
However many more got it from trading and duping.

There's also been someone on this forum giving them away for free aswell.

You can also win them more than once in the game, by completing the Vettel challenge in Special Events and reaching Level 35 B spec, so some people will have more than one.
 
Yeah, it doesn't really. Just makes you think if you did the right thing by taking duped car... >.>
 
I have 1 X2010 via a trade. That's the only car I acquired not of my own merit (although I did dupe it for my 2nd account). I won't be using it online as its merely a B-Spec Grinder for me.
 
Indeed. There are no indicators to show whether a car is a duplicate.

Dude, there has been massive debates (or arguements, depends how you view it) about this subject already....

Some people do, some people don't, for some it's OK, for others it's not, some people don't mind, others get very angry...
 
All I know is that I got two of them within the first month I had the game. One by getting Bronze in the Challenge and the other by getting to level 35 B-Spec.

It is not that hard to get to level 35 in B-Spec.

I got mine in a trade and I can see why PD did not want you to have it until the late parts of the game its stupidly fast I was going so quick in it that I am highly surprised my PS3 did not blast off to 1000 years in the future.
I could clock the green hell in under 4 mins crazy speed.

But I always feel a little bit guilty about driving the car as I know I would have been over the moon if I got this car through some good hard grinding and perseverance.

Me I don't like duping as it makes anyone's special car collections worthless like my almost complete ford collection is worth nothing but what it means to me as now any one can get the cars on my list easily as there are so many more around due to duping cars.
And a lot of people worked really hard to build those collections.

I guess I am lucky I love ford so much so my collection is worth the world to me anyway but it may not be the same for other collectors.
 
dangit I can't wait to unlock this car.... I'm at level 28. Taking forever!

The thought of lapping Nordschleife in 4 minutes or less.... I can't wait.
