I voted YES.
I do multiple types of dupe-exploits.

-Free-car exploit
-Dupe-exploit
-Enhanced birthday/Random Car ticked exploit. (I'm doing this one for the next 100 win ticket i get)

I don't care that I do em. I don't really race against people online other than my friends, and they don't care at all, so I'm happy. :)

I dont think any of the options apply lol. I admit i duplicate, but i dont think its awesome, nor do i think duplicating ruins the game. I agree in the sense of the cars value is lowered, but at the end of the day its only a game :P

All the X1 duplicating and birthday stuff. Don't you like to just EARN the cars, lol

It's easy to draw out the fundamentalists eh?

All I said is 'It depends on what kind of duplicating you're talking about' and i get this crap..

Facepalm for you and your stupid, predictable self-righteous assumptions..
Besides, how many times do we need to have this debate? Are you that full of your own s*** that you absolutely must tell everyone that they're commiting crimes against video games by not doing as you do?

I duplicate sometimes, just so that I can collect expensive cars that I won't use in a or b-spec and I can keep my money safe. Otherwise it's pretty lame and there is no point of participating in a/b-spec anymore... Just earn your cars, it's more fun that way !!

Never duped before, can say i "earned" all my car, the x1 I recieved was for a car I paid for.

However, I would like to know how the enhance random car ticket trick work. Honestly, it doesn't change anything about the game, and I see no point in obtaining like a 10 HP subaru, or another kart.

Anyone kind enough to inform me? cheers

whats the big deal if people duplicate or not (IT'S A VIDEO GAME) seriously

And where do you draw the line?

It`s about duplicating now and hacks/cheats in nearest future in worst case!

I can already see many people going crazy about hacks with a garage full of duplicated cars LOL

Will you accept the same excuse? "Well my GT5 is hacked but i don`t race online or only against friends with a hacked PS3!"

A lot of people act like duping is on the same level as using illegal drugs. I dupe all the time. If I'm online and someone really likes a car I'm in I have no problem duping it for them. The only thing duping ruined was trading cars with other people, which I could really care less about. I didn't wait for gt5s release so I could but a fgt and ask for every car in the game to trade and think it was very fair.

In gt4 I used to gring to win cars over and sell them and money was never an issue. With gt5 credits are much harder to save. Duping is no different than gt4 grinding IMO.

Having a nice selection of cars is one thing.
Altering cars to do things they shouldn't in order to gain advantage over others online is a very different matter.

There's a big fricking line there.

I see no problem with backup save trading. Y'know, backup, send and restore so that you don't lose your car.
I do think that those guys who dupe a crapload of X1's and trade for an entire garage worth of cars are incredibly lame, but it's their choice.

I put yes it's awesome because I have nothing against it and I know what it is so the others don't apply but I don't do it myself. It's not like on Mw2 where every second lobby is modded and your getting deranked for no reason. It doesn't really help that much online anyway because you can't you use x1's in a lot of lobbies and when you can most people tend to have it aswell.

I had no interest in doing it until I found out the 370Z academy can only be acquired via a gift ticket. I refuse to let luck determine whether I get a complete garage or not. I shouldn't have to trade with someone else either as there would never be enough 370Z Academy cars to go round, so if the car has to be duped, I may as well dupe it.

Well in all honesty what would be the issue? PC gamers have modded their games for decades. Remember it's only the mass media that turned 'hack' into a dirty word, among geeks it simply means to make something serve a purpose it wasn't designed for.

If those guys want to hack the game to do drive train swaps or other things not facilitated in game, so long as like in the PC world, people with mods play other people with mods fair dinkum.

As for duplicating and other exploits, well it all sounds like a lot of effort to me, I'm happy turning my game on, playing a race, looking disappointedly at the lame ass prize car they give you and then buying a car I'm interested in. I honestly don't have time on top of the time I want to use to actually play the game part of GT to phaff about setting up other accounts, gifting cars and duplicating cars that I'm then not going to have time to even use.

I've only ever duped if im sending friends cars who are just strarting out.

Never used to for my own account.

That sounds more like you. I don't give a **** what you or any other person does. I just wanted to see what percentage of the general population "duped" cars. If you cant handle that then shut up.

I agree with this. I don't mind duping. I just don't like it when people alter cars and ruin the online for everyone.

Finally some sense. Why did Polyphony create a game in which the completion of it rests entirely upon the luck of drawing the right car. This is where I support duping.

Yes I realize it is a game. Yes it is not a big deal. No, I am not against it. But I don't support it either. I just wanted to see what the general population thought.

What sounds more like me? You need to back this up pal.. You're clearly far from unbiased so wtf are you talking about?

And besides any of that, haven't you enough of an idea already from ALL the other threads just like this?

Like I said man, I dont care.

I thought you got the GT Academy for gettin all gold on Special License?

You do?

@BigYoSpeck

I should have been more precise, I was talking about this issue!

Altering cars to do things they shouldn't in order to gain advantage over others online is a very different matter.

And I am afraid to say many people are not aware of that, thats why they cheat in first place.

@all

So here is my point - I don`t have a problem if people cheat, hack, exploit a game as long as they are playing singleplayer.
I do have a problem when it affects online gaming in any way or a community associated with a game.

I don`t care about trophys at all, some ppl do!
Some ppl like to collect cars (legit) and trade - duplicating is ruining this.
Some ppl put the effort into GT5 to unlock a X2010 or buy any car, and duplicating is lowering this experience.

Thats the whole problem with cheating in gaming, those who don`t care exploiting a game are affecting others which won`t do it and that is selfish!

If you can`t achieve anything within the ruleset of a game you have to accept it, anything else is cheating in the sense of the word itself.

"I have no time..." "I don`t want to..." "..but i`d like to..." are all excuses nothing else.

@GTPlanet.com

Whats the point of this forum section

"GT5 Marketplace (237 Viewing)
Trade with others in our community and collect the cars you really want.

at the same time you tolerate topics about how to duplicate and birthday glitch?

Some ppl put the effort into GT5 to unlock a X2010 or buy any car, and duplicating is lowering this experience.

For who? You?

Personally I had an X1 before I unlocked it. I'm still doing the challenges despite this (1 gold + 2 bronze so far) and I've got the prototype anyway (Someone suprise gifted me as a thank you).
It hasn't spoiled it for me in any way. I don't see how it could spoil it for anyone else either.

And do remember that the only reason that X1's are so easily available is because those who earned them gave them up for trade in the first place.

Some ppl like to collect cars (legit) and trade - duplicating is ruining this.

I think it's making it easier for a lot of people to build their collections.
If the person they're trading with doesn't have to lose a car to gain one, then nobody has to lose out.

As has been said in other threads on this subject: The marketplace and car trading are not features of this game, they're just what's been made by us out of the ability to gift.

I love it, I earned all my cars by "duping" other cars and trading them for the cars I want but didnt have or had not ""earned""!!

Thats earning them in my oppinion, You can earn things in different ways!! I do it the easy way 👍:)

As said a zillion times before, its only a game play it how you want to play it, dont let anyone else tell you how to play your own game!!!

I duplicate because I think the whole premiss of "earning" cars is a joke.

I pay nearly £40 for a game so I can have fun and I am forced to spend hours and hours just trying to unlock the game I have already paid for.

Any way at all that can help me get more of the game I have paid for I will do.

They should have two parts to the game. One like it is now for people who have too much time on their hands and another for people who just like driving fast cars around different tracks.

I don't mind. Personally the fun in GT5 lies in getting the cars I like and driving them around the tracks I like, so I've done it a couple of times myself.
