Dynamic camera in gt5

Have you noticed that in forza when you make turns and crash the camera moves a lot and give it that lively feeling (same thing in shift 1 and 2)? In my opinion, Gran Turismo 5 should have a dynamic camera option for 3rd person to make it look good. It's just an idea though. i don't think a camera change might take up too much memory.

The "dynamic camera" shtick always gives me a headache.... Leave that kinda thing for the arcades @_@'

Plus, i'd rather they pay more attention to stuff that's awesome like DLC/ingame enduro saves

I miss the camera in GT2 where it automatically rotates if your in the chase cam when you reverse. The camera in GT5 is too stiff.

You get more feeling for the speed, if the camera is shaking by driving. Noticed it by playing GTR2. The dynamic of the camera in GTR2 is adjustable from 0-100%.

Just dont mention something in forza and you want it in gt5 , its just doesn't work .

You know what would be great? If PD and Turn 10 teamed up. Best. Game. Ever. Or at least just the fan groups could get along somewhat. It's just a game FFS.

Pretty much, the second you mention it's a feature in Forza, SOMEONE, without fail, will come into the thread and say they automatically do not want that feature. It does not matter how useful or awesome it is, if it's in Forza, they don't want it in Gran Turismo, regardless of how much it would improve the quality of the game.

I really wish that happen to stop the haters and the PERFECT will be there forza turismo .

i want to be one of the best games but that doesnt mean i want something a feature from forza or other game to be in gt5 .

I prefer the "static" one we already have although using the analog stick to look around your car like Forza would have been pretty cool.

I don't use the chase cam, so it doesn't bother me either way, but if there's an option for stiff/dynamic, who loses? No one.

Honestly, I could ream off a list of features I wish GT pulled over from Forza, but I could write just as big a list, if not bigger, the other way.

another option gt5 is missing. 360 cam is a must . really who dont want to look at all angle of their cars if ya say no your just a hater.

The garage cam is spinning. Isn't that good enough? Also, Photomode. You have nothing to complain about.

Yeah ofcourse why wouldn't you wanna look at the c ar at an angle while racing down the mulsanne straight too see the relfections of the trees and surroundings flow over the car's chassis.. No you wouldn't.

Sarcasm mode: Off

the game seems a little empty. like something is missing. most of these new racing simulators include a dynamic camera and seldom a static camera. it would make a significant difference in the gameplay aspect and feel of the car.

maybe a dynamic slider to control that trippiness(sp?).
"Trippiness"?? I'm sure that gets Hotspitta's attention! ;)

But yeah, an adjustable camera would be ideal. And not just for fixed/floating/shake and amount, but placement, aim and width. For all driver views. Obviously, views like cockpit cam should be fixed/shaking amount, but surely you catch my drift angle.

But as for Polyphony and Turn 10 teaming up... no, just... no.

trust me, if PD and T10 wanted to team up and make one big company, they would have done it years ago.

and quotes form Kaz Yamauchi and dan grenwalt (turn 10)

Kaz: “[...] I keep my eye on them from a distance. My observations tend to more often than not centre on, ‘Oh, so they’re concentrating extra hard on this’, or ‘oh, so they’re not worried about that’, or ‘they’ve really got a lot of passion for that’. All my observations are first-impression sort of things. I don’t look at the games in too much detail. Just a one-glance observation is good enough. I think about what they’re trying to do, how much time they’re spending, how they’re going about putting the game together, how do they feel about the game as they’re making it… that sort of thing.”

Greenwalt:“So, props to Kazunori Yamauchi-san and the PS1 team. That said, I feel that he’s passed us the baton. Perhaps he hasn’t meant to, but we have taken the genre to new levels and they’ve stopped evolving the genre. So again, tremendous respect to him, but I’d say the differentiator is they’re old school. The emperor’s naked, and I don’t want to, you know, I don’t want to slap him around, but no game competes [with] us right now.”

Kaz is more humble, greenwalt seems...arrogant. holding their head up high. wasn't forza based on gran turismo?

Dynamic camera=awful idea. Replay mode is supposed to be clean and show the race itself, not shake like a Michael Bay film

Yea there was a thread about this before.I think its way too stiff.I dont think it was this stiff in gt5p

Wow you got all that from being on this site a day and half.

ok, but the dynamic camera is in gtr2, shift, nfs hot pursuit, et cetera.

You should be able to use the right stick to rotate the cars in the garage and stuff. Sometimes you want to look at the back and have to wait for it to spin all the way around and other similar scenarios. Or at least carry over the "triangle to spin faster" from arcade.

Third person view is for games like Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Rachet and Clank etc. I really don't understand the need for a 3rd person view in a driving simulator..The sense of speed is non-existing.
