Dynamic Weather Online Problem

When i have weather on one of my rooms, after each race it keeps reseting.

So at the start of the race it will be sunny, and at the end its rainy. Then when it goes to freerun, the weather is suuny. It keeps on reseting.

Its frustarating because the room gets boring, I want the weather to chane without reseting so the changing weather keeps gameplay intresting.

Anyone know how I can change this?
 
Pretty certain it's designed that way? You need to set up the weather for each race, at least that's what the guys I race with have found.

Well...yeah. It has always been like that. Every time a free practice starts the game has to load the track and weather with it. If you start the race, the game has to load them again. It's only obvious...

It's fine the way it is, and it would take a huge amount of RAM memory to achieve what you want here.

Hmmm, I have had a lobby open for hours and it didn't reset. :confused:
 
I ran an event last year where we raced on 4 different tracks, & had the weather running for 1 hour on each track, it never reset then. It must've changed in one of the updates.

I clearly remember the Monza race; qually was dry & sunny, race 1 started to rain lightly, after race 1 we could all see it was still raining, so we had to guess the tyre strategy, some went for wets others for dry tyres. Just before race 2 started the rain had stopped but track was very wet, & the guys who chose wets had the advantage.

I've still got the replays, the weather definately didn't reset itself back then.

I wonder if it was the same update that made it rain within 5 minutes 90% of the time if you have weather enabled, even if set to 0% chance and only 1 changeablility. :(

Or at least that's what it does on the Nürburgring in arcade, I haven't set it up in online lobbies very much lately.

I thought I remembered that the weather used to persist and continue to flow smoothly from race to race online a long time ago as well(as it obviously should do). I wonder why they would have changed that?

Must've been, as we had the weather program running for an hour on each track, & on two of them it never even rained. This was back when you could not set weather changeability, turning weather on then just set it to random.

Best way to have weather on now & it not rain is this; set the changeability to 1, & the time differential to 1 also. Then hope it doesn't start to rain.

I still can't speak for online as I've not had much chance to play, but this does not work for me offline. It still rains virtually every time, usually by the time I'm half-way around a lap of the Nordschleife. Usually pours too. I don't know if it's just me or not, although I do remember seeing a few complaints about this in the last few months.

It doesn't always keep raining for more than 5 or 10 minutes(but it often does), and I certainly don't mind if it does have an unexpected rainstorm on rare occasions. But when time-change is at 1(mine almost always is), starting weather is at 0%, and weather-change is at 1 you would think you should have better than a 10 or 20 percent chance(at best) of it not raining immediately. When it gets too annoying I just have to set the changeablity to 0 and deal with boring static pefect weather.
 
It would be nice if we could have weather changeability on without it raining at all, maybe having a seperate control to turn the chance of rain off or off.
