I use the e-brake not all the times, but like the example given by 's0nny80y' it's a great way to enter a difficult corner. I use it to show off but when racing I only use it for hard corners in underpowered cars...
Hmm, I guess I drift more corners than gripping, I just realized... :P

I know... :) Now don't go off topic! But, I wanted to use a pointless title. Just like many Japanese manga have senseless titles in english

I'd have to agree with DTC. Using the Ebrake to initiate a drift ifs fine IF you don't end up depending on it. Who ever says that its a cheap way to initiate a drift, I bet any money that if you were to go up against someone who had been using the ebrake to initiate a drift they would flog you becuase it takes skill and precision to use it effectively. Having said that I myself don't rely on it to initiate drifts but will use it wherever i see fit to, I have used about all techniques known to initiate a drift just to sharpen my skills. But I mainly use the E-Brake to extend drifts and hold longer corners. I sometimes use it to help me enter a corner way earlier also.

i use it to keep myself on the track....like to increase my angle if i get a bad start off and im understeering too much i'll just hit the e-brake and i'm bak on track...lol it saved me plenty of times...once u hit the dirt u spinout so easily

other time i use it is on those damn super tight hairpins...i shift down to 3 or 2...then i pull the e-brake

I sometimes use the dirt to break traction off the rear wheels  Difficult but looks very cool in the replays!
