E-mail an attachment

Hi! I want to e-mail another member with an attachment. The attachment is a surprise, so I didn't want to e-mail and ask for an address. Is there a way to do that?

If the email button on their posts is not active then they have specified that they do not wish to receive emails through this site. Maybe a PM might be better. I'm sure if you say you're emailing an attachement they'll be so curious as to not be able to maintain their anti-social, pathologically private habits any longer.

The e-mail link brings up a custom form that allows you to send a message to someone without obtaining their address. This doesn't have the facility to add an attachment, so it's not really possible.

An alternative would be to host the attachment on a web site, and then put a link to it into the message.
