E-mail from non contact contacts.

For the past view days I have received e-mails (I never open them) from Daily News and maybe some others, with a sequence of numbers showing as the subject, or this in my last one, "Hotmail Alert 0104 ." They show up as e-mail from contacts. I don't recall signing up to receive these, and the senders' names look fake, and I can't find them in my address book. So what's going on?

Don't know how you would have got them but just delete just in case.

"when in doubt throw them out" just add them to your block list and send them into the junk folder.

As in from someone in my address book and friends list.

I would not consider that regular spam.

I don't get it. If they're not on your adress book how can they appear as your contacts?
